I must say that most of the link building technique is black hat. We use forums to place links where it is meant only for discussions. We purposely place our links in blog where comments are provided to get user opinion about the blog post. Somewhere everyone is spamming to acquire backlinks and in my opinion placing links should be beneficial for both who place the link and who allows to post the link.

I bought some blackhat generated backlinks a couple of times. They didn't helped much.

Since then I stay away from anything blackhat. I want my websites to function in the long run. I don't aspect to work on a project for several years and get sand boxed by Google.

I didn't use blackhat because all my sites ar new and i don't wanna risk to get penalized by google

to be Frank i use it but in limit 70% white and 30% Blackhat.
it does not mean that i give 30% with easily to blackhat i am trickster and not give up so easily and represent that blackhat as white hat to google so it always works and provide me high Rankings.

Hidden text ?? Create modern CSS based websites with JQuery effects. They often hide large portions of text in layers to display them on click or mouse over for usability reasons. Example: CSS pagination.
IP delivery ?? Offer the proper localized content to those coming from a country specific IP address. Offer the user a choice though. Shopping.com does a great job here.
301 redirects ?? Redirect outdated pages to the newer versions or your homepage. When moving to a new domain use them of course as well.
Throw Away Domains ?? Create exact match micro sites for short term popular keywords and abandon them when the trend subsides. Something like tigerwoodssexrehab.com
Cloaking ?? Hide the heavy Flash animations from Google, show the text-only version optimized for accessibility and findability.
Paid links ?? Donate for charity, software developers etc.

Yes.. I use and with great result...

There are many method out there but I do my job with the old SB and a new technique updated after the latest update's any it work like a charm.

i think blackhat will workout when your site viewer is good and also keywords, based on that you will get more traffic
