@DrBinda No, I believe Penguin was a failure and most of sites will rank back themselves.
Funny thing, I have 2 sites connected, same niche, same keywords. Both connected to private network of smaller sites from same niche.
1st one has pure whitehat SEO done on it, 2nd one has blackhat (forum profiles, EDU blasts etc.)
Both sites lost their rankings on the most important keyword (more than 150k monthly searches, they were both on 2nd page in SERP).
I didn't do any SEO on them for 6 months, because they will get re-launched in a few months. Now 2nd one (blackhat) came back to the same position, has the same PR and I will try to get to page one in top 5, although I only have about 100 links pointing to it at the moment.
I have a list of DOFOLLOW Wikis, I will make 1 month SEO work on it. 60+ dofollow Wiki contextual links in next month with unique articles (all authority domains with PR 4 to 9), 100 EDU backlinks with low OBL and support backlinks with regular AA blasts with Scrapebox. I will also publish few articles manually to related sites. I will make a study case out of it and publish results.
Sites on 1st and 2nd page in SERPS for that keyword all have more than 20k backlinks and are old and PR3 to PR5, I will destroy them in 1 month. So I hope
