Depends what type of backlinks? It would be a problem if you build say 10,000 in a day all from the same IP!

For new websites it is not good. Build your links slowly maintaining the link diversity and link from sites related to your website topic are better

For new websites: NO
For old websites: Depends on what backlinks and how they get indexed (naturally is the best)
Bulk links to support websites are still the best

u just make ur site get pinalized by google

It's accourding to your site visitors.If yu have 20k+ daily unique visitors then 1000 backlinks is good for SEO other wise you will get penalty soon from google.
