We can't ignore micro blogging sites to get back links because I have good experience of it. When I post new content in my site I always post URL link with little description in micro blogging sites.

Don't you have Baidu in China? From what i know it's a huge local search engine and you can get good results there as well. As for Google not working, can't you use any Proxy?
