- Will my song be registered in Europe charts?
They have confirmed that EUROPE automatically included registration if streams come in from that area. On a weekly basis, they collect POS in 19 countries across the U.S, Canada and Europe.
- Will I have to order a Chart Registration Gig for each song or Album I make ?
Yes. Chart Registration is for every individual single or album release. This is not a registration for you as an Artist, that does not exist as each song has different ISRC and UPC codes. It is advised to register each / all your releases as you complete / release them.
- How does this Chart Registration work? What happens after the registration ?
To put it in short, your song will be sent to the USA Charts office. This is then put into their system. If you get those hundred of thousands of streams, your song has actually been registered to make it into the charts. Artist assumes that this happens automatically but just is not the case.
- Are Explicit Songs Accepted?
All songs, genres, explicit / none explicit are accepted.
- HOW DOES CHART REGISTRATION WORK?
Every release is assigned two types of codes: a barcode for the product as a whole and ISRC [International Standard Recording Codes] for the individual tracks. Stores will use these codes to track and report sales of releases to chart companies like the Official Charts Company in the UK & Billboards
