Is traffic from Twitter Real?

I have noticed if you have decent followers, around 10K or more, you tend to get decent traffic when you tweet. However I am not quite sure if these traffic that you get from twitter is 100% real or not. I have sent traffic from twitter to my website and it seems to have higher bounce rate. Why does this happens with twitter traffic?

Twitter is very good source of traffic when you have large audience (number of followers) and even more when you getting a lot of likes and retweets. Traffic from Twitter is real 100% there is no doubt, if you talking organic traffic. Bounce rate does NOT depend if traffic comes from Twitter or Google! Bounce rate explains you how your visitors engage on your blog, so longer they stay on your blog and more pages they browse, it result in lower bounce rate.

When you tweeting try to target your followers with relevant tweets and titles from your blog so they get interested to visit it and stay longer.

I asked this particular question because the pageviews that I usually get from tweeting is always lower than analytics number. For example when twitter is saying I got 20 pageviews (I track using URL shortener) but analytics is showing only 11 pageviews. Why is this difference?

Twitter has the real people just like facebook. So it is possible that there are some people who may be inside twitter doing all the stuff. I am sure the people who want to get traffic. I guess they can get it if their tweet goes viral. I am sure you can find some good people tweeting increasing your real human traffic on the site. So it all depends on how one can get regular traffic and how much are real followers.

I am assuming that your followers are all real people and if they are then the bounce rate is the problem. In my experience with Facebook, I sometimes promote a video in our Youtube channel. But the engagement I get is less than 10 views which is way below the number of active friends that I have. Maybe it’s the quality of your promotion that you have to be more creative so it will be attractive to your followers.
