Remotely ran businesses are easier to sell to the masses.

A business that can be run remotely is definitely going to sell quicker since it can be transferred to wherever the buyer is. You don't have to rely on buyers being in your physical location. This opens up the world to become a buyer and a new business owner.

So what makes a business able to be run remotely?
Online there are many people who run their business remotely since they deal primarily with websites or they are a freelancer for a website.

Here are a few things to go over in order to run a business remotely:

  • Communication and Support Systems – New buyers may have a favorite system to use, but it is always nice to see a website that we're interested in buying have something in place already that is working well. Top notch support from a pop up chat system is common practice now a days and will increase user satisfaction.
  • Automation – Whenever you can, make sure something is automated so that the new buyer doesn't have to put 10+ hours a day into the new business. If the website or business is 90% or more automated, it will sell pretty quick. An example of easy automation is a recurring billing system. This can easily be set up through paypal or any other payment system that you'd prefer.
  • Team File Sharing – Simply emailing and storing systems and scripts on a hard drive just isn't enough. If you can store something in one place, like the cloud, where your entire team can go in and use it, that will help the work flow and satisfaction of the employees. This will also show the new buyer that you're invested in your team enough to set something up like this for them. A happier team is a more profitable team, and the new buyer will see that right away.
  • Good Employees – You can hire 10 people and only one will be doing the work while the other 9 slack off. Not everyone is cut out to work remotely due to the fact they don't really have a boss telling them what to do. Weeding out the 9 and finding more people like the one left will increase productions and satisfaction around the workplace.

Agreed. Automation is big too. I once had a website that was for sale ($15k) and had a potential buyer (funds in escrow). He repeatedly asked for how many hours I put into it because he wanted to do as little as possible. The deal fell through but the point is buyers/investors want to do as little hands on as possible and if there is work, have someone else doing it.

That's the most reason the site was expressly bought, we have come of age that we don't just want to be with our business all day long with a little automation, things can still go on without hitches if we fixed things up.I love sites with live chat, it really makes communication easier and the good thing is that employees can work from anywhere.which is a great advantage.

I am sure people view remotely run businesses as easier to maintain than more traditional businesses so the are more eager to run them. This may or may not be true, but I think that is the perception. I hope that it is for the sake of the buyers!

Yes, I mean that is the allure. Passive income is also great where you are making money by visits to your site and people leaving comments etc. It is one of the things that allows you to make money while you sleep.

I think to anyone you talk to this is the ideal. If you have ever run a business offline, you know how complicated and draining it is. You know how difficult it is to deal with employees and any business that arises on a daily basis. You also have to constantly monitor your business otherwise it will collapse. Personally I'm looking forward to running an offline business where I can be more hands off and travel.

Automation or a system that can make the task automatic is the popular direction of website owners. Even freelancers are in that direction as well. I had seen one site where you can use it like a virtual assistant. It can provide you with a chart of schedule where you can place the tasks like posting in social media. It is very helpful for freelancers who couldn’t work full time.

Yeah, I agree.
First of all you're not bound to just one location, as remotely ran businesses are far more univeral and global. They can provide to a bigger audience and maintain a supply line through many locations, thus creating a bigger network and fame for themselves. Also remotely ran businesses are a lot faster in providing their service, and you don't have to maintain and sustain a big amount of employees.
