If you don't track your ads to find out which ones are producing traffic. Without tracking you won't know which ads were successful and what ads to repeat.

Advertising to the wrong crowd is a huge mistake. You need to know who your product will appeal to and then just advertise to those people. Otherwise you're wasting your money.

1.) Don’t take your advice from the other ads. The first thing most people do is look at all the other ads in their category and then start copying them. To have success, you’ve got to stand out from your competition.
2.) Your company name is NOT your ad’s headline. The unpleasant fact is: No one cares about you. They only care what you can do for them.
3.) Not having a clear call-to-action. This is something people sometimes overlook. Never assume they know what to do and why. Just plopping your phone number and website in there somewhere isn’t enough.
4.) Useless graphics or pictures. Never ever leave out words for the sake of including pictures. The words of your ad hold all the power. Now, that’s not to say that pictures will never be appropriate.
5.) Cheesy slogans and meaningless buzzwords. Much like the previous tip, only include words that actually contribute something to your ad. Words like “quality”, “family-operated”, “30 years of experience”, and “great service” are all so over-used and diluted that they’ve lost their meaning. Avoid them at all costs.
6.) Trying to be cute or funny. For every one ad I see that is genuinely funny, I see about 1,000 that are nowhere near funny.

Hope this helps out... ;)
