What's the best place to put Adsense on a site?

Is there any one good place to put Adsense on a site? Which part of a site is the best converting for Adsense ad units?

From my point of view place your adds on the right side don't put it in center because its very irritating visitors are not interested that advertise disturb him.

I think the best way is, you put it below your posts! First let the people know, what you have to say, before you send them to your competitors for a few cents... A commision that you can make on your site/blog should actually be much higher than a click on an adsense banner!

in my opinion you shouldn´t use adsense before you don´t have at least 500-800 unique visitors every day...

Adsense ad placement is very important and a major effect on your revenue. Get many clicks or CTR in google adsense is a dream every publiser of google adsense, but to get a click in a way that is lawful is not as easy as turning the palm of the hand.

Place an ad image size 728×90 leaderboard at the top of the article for placement targeting feature and receive a higher brand value and clickthrough rate (CTR).
Place the wide skyscraper ad unit size of 160×600 at the bottom of the Navigation bar. Set ads to display text and image ads.
If your Home long, it is advisable to put the unit 728×90 leaderboard ad in the middle or at the end of your page.

The best spot for adsense ad units is within the content. You need to have ad units just below the title of your content, on the middle of the content and at the end of the content. If you have focus keywords, the ads will be relevant to the content. When the ads are relevant, ad click rate is high.

I have seen several blogs with the ads at the bottom although the most common is on right side and left side as well. Perhaps the eyes of the reader will be attracted if the ads are right inside. Take for instance the newspapers here, when you read a news report you will certainly see the ads because they are placed after a few paragraphs. It is annoying to read such news report but that’s the style of the online newspapers here.
