Go to niche forums which are similar to your affiliate related sites and advertise there or at least get a signature link. This is not allowed on all forums though, so check the rules first.

Create articles about affiliate marketing and distribute to work at home and business opportunity sites. Include your link to your affiliate marketing opportunity or blog in your signature line. This will be the best way to attract affiliates who wills ell for you.

Its very difficult to promote your affiliate link unless you have a website if you have a website than it will be very easy to promote it in different sites.

great point, i did this and it worked for me up till now still working. getting the affiliate script and creating a website helps alot.

do some keyword research for the product you are promoting. build a site with your product or with a few similar products. focus on onpage optimization and once the site is built, promote the site using SEO. pick keywords that are moderately competitive and have decent search volume. lot of people pick keywords that have high search volume not realizing that those keywords also have high level of competition. keywords that have moderate competition are lot easier to rank than keywords that have high level of competition.

for me, i mainly target keywords that are low in rankings and low in competition. going for highly competitive keywords for your website will be difficult for you to get traffic due to other sites that have being there for a long period of time.

the most important of all is that video marketing because any potential buyer would love to watch a video that explains all about your offer because videos are short and straight to the point and very unique from other forms of marketing.

I am interested in this discussion because I have plans on embarking in affiliate marketing. My plan is to have my own website so that I can freely promote the products that I intend to endorse in my affiliate activities. It is always the social media that we go to when we need to promote something but I guess it is better to have my own promotional site so I can also earn from the traffic.
