If my website gets banned from lets say Google Search Engine, does this effect me in other search engines and get me banned from them too? I am not talking about whatever it is that would have got me banned, I am just wanting to know if getting the ban would result in other search engines banning me too purely because I was banned in another one? o_O

I think they would be independent of each other, unless one is stealing results from the other. I totally agree, its not possible to get banned from other search engines if you are banned on google. It depends on the kind of violation because search engines have different policies about the banning. Maybe if you are banned by Google then it may have an effect on other search engines although I am not really sure about it. I am surprised by the post above that says Yahoo is powered by Bing.
