How much SEO should you publish daily for maximum SEO benefit?

Fresh content is the key to good SEO. And, forums are updated numerous times daily, so they win out in this situation. But most blogs are updated only once daily or even sometimes less. Just wondering what the optimum publication schedule should be for new blog posts to ensure high search engine ranking. Would you consider posting five or more times a day on your blog if it meant actually getting higher ranking in search engines? This wouldn't have to be full blown blog posts, just snippet paragraphs.

If I have mistaken, I have already asked the same question before.
I got no definite answer on that one. People says one just need to do things that they could do manually, and the amount could also be based on the age of your site.

You can't just create 1000 backlinks on a newly published site, right?

If you mean SEO then it is not only the backlinks that matter because you also need to work on the keywords. Anyway back to backlinks. My take is always the quality backlinks because I have been reading the dictum that 10 quality backlinks will be much desired than 100 ordinary backlinks. Now the crux is on the quality of the backlinks that’s why most of the suggestions are to post only on popular websites and also to websites with authority.

The last point you made is interesting, how new sites often believe they can get massive backlinks early on. But that's not something which is advisable as it's unnatural. But if you'll notice, many larger sites can get many backlinks daily and still rank high as they are older. So i think the difference could be the age of the site.

But I do wonder about a new site that gets advertised on TV or from another site, before it was even launched. Kinda a new website for the TV show that gets announced during its airing. Its followers will definitely post it almost everywhere, getting a widespread attention. Since it's a TV show, it's not just 100s but maybe 1000s or 10,000s of backlinks in a short time.

Of course, Google would most likely have safe guards in place to accommodate the effects of social sharing. All these 'shares' would be coming from 100's or even thousands of different accounts over numerous Facebook/Twitter accounts, not to mention blogs. So it would look very legitimate. Another factor, when someone shares on a blog post, that's different than the blog comments, don't you think so? Or, does Google not know the difference between the two?

I have no idea if Google knows the difference... Maybe the IP of the people who share it makes a difference rather than sharing or spamming links on your own.

It would be a scary thought if Google actually recognized the ip address of a blogger and then linked that to backlinks posted. Not even sure if that's possible. Considering how intrusive Google is about their tracking cookies, i would not be surprised that they could do it.

having fresh contents is not enough. Your content should also be unique and original. Your content should contain keywords that get good search hits. SEO is also related to user experience. You can improve user experience by making your site easy to navigate, and user-friendly. Your site also needs to load faster. When you publish fresh contents, you should link it with previously published contents. Internal linking is also a SEO technique. Building backlink for your website is good SEO strategy, however, if you can build backlink for each content, it will be even better.

The frequency of uploading new contents to your website should depend on your audience and not on the SEO concerns. With the SEO, the more new contents, the better and the more frequent you post new contents, the better too. But it’s not good to be posting too many new contents for the readers so you should take into consideration the readers which are your main audience and not the SEO.
