Do you trust SEO services?

When soemoen claims to be able to get you 100 or 200 high page rank back-links from sites for a small fee, do you trust these types of services? Do you think the person can actually deliver?

Anyone who studies proper SEO will know backlinking is no longer the big factor it once was, since the last Google update. It's now more about on-page optimization than off page backlinks.

So, knowing that, if someone claims to be an SEO "expert' and they offer 100's of backlinks, then you shouldn't trust them, as they have no idea what they are doing. Lots of those people everywhere, so be careful.

I usually don't. Backlinks are still the no.1 factor for rankings, not the social signals. But quality of backlinks matters more and more.

PBN's are the holy grail right now, but links from them cost much money, but they bring value if they are done right. PR, PA, DA are just a few factors, niche relevancy is the most important one to determine website's quality for backlinking.

It is all useless if it isn't done right. If content on them doesn't have quality, those sites are useless - no matter their PR, DA, PA or whatever. I'm building my own these days and I'm pretty sure I won't sell any links from them because they are too valuable to spoil them.

Where do you get that backlinks are STILL the "no.1 factor for rankings". They are A factor among 200, but not THE factor. It's ON-page content that's more important now, and I've ranked plenty of sites with no backlinks at all because of that. Even my competitors that have managed to outrank me have weak backlinks, but good on-page SEO.

Breathe my friend, here's one of the 100 answers to your "where did you get..." question:
http://searchengineland.com/google...h-quality-184753

I don't feel like searching, but not that long ago, Cutts also said backlinks are still the no.1 factor for ranking website in SERP.

I'm not a fan of listening to Matt Cutts, nor reading and theorizing to death, but I have researched hundreds of Google's 1st page results from various niches in the last few months only. Not by looking at them and theorizing to death, but with in-depth analysis with tools like Ahrefs, MS and much common sense.

"It's ON-page content". Oh rly? Yes, you write a perfect content and people like and share your content, linkback to it from their blogs etc, is this what you're saying?

Readability and grammar. Those are the things Google can determine automatically. How can a robotic algorithm know if you have a great content or not and have it as an A factor for giving a rank to a website in SERP? Enlighten me please.

Yes, as confirmed again by Matty, it is, of course still a factor, but not like it used to be. Backlink relevancy has ALWAYS been closely tied to on-page content, as opposed to the crappy "blasts" you see SEO amateurs offering everywhere.

Of course a bot can determine things like good spelling and grammar, and therefore "good" content, in the same way software like content spinners and Rocket language programs can process words. SEO is mostly about words (keywords). It's not always effective, naturally, but it's important.

Backlinks are less a factor than previously, and on-page content has become more a factor. They are both among the many factors used to determine ranking.

The point isn't really worth arguing, as my original response was merely to the question of whether I trust those services, and I don't, but if you do and it works as part of your SEO strategy, then power to you, and I'll keep doing what I do without the need for those same backlinks.

Enjoy your day! Do you trust SEO services?

I can't trust in these types of services or companies who claim to provide 100 high pr back links in low price. In this time it is not possible to get high pr backlinks to easily and low price.

Its true that all the service providers are not able give guarantee for what they claim but it doesn't means that SEO services providers are not trustworthy. You can find result oriented service providers if will search with zeal for your work.

I'm a big believer in good site content as I'm a writer and this is what I do for a living. So I say, stick with what works for you. If creating good content is your key to ranking high in Google search, then go for that.

Over the past ten years, I have been able to get Google ranking success doing things that did not always work for others. And, when I tried to explain or share these techniques, I got shot down because those ideas were not working for everyone else. What works for you or me, might not work for others. So, just keep believing in what is right for your site and you cannot fail.

I would never trust those. Because when I can create those high pr backlinks myself then why should I pay others for that.

Content is key to SEO. I do not purchase traffic to any of my main sites, as I prefer to expand on my traffic naturally with time, great content and manual backlinking to sites over time. Google penalizes sites with unnatural, fake traffic that hits the site all at once.

Time and updating your site regularly with unique content, by using your keywords and related niche posts is what makes your site grow.

It must be sure that the website will get 100-200 number of backlinks.

I would want a list of the places they were going to post my backlink on. I don't want someone just posting my links on spam sites that will get me in trouble. The list of sites is the least I would expect before allowing them to do SEO for me.

See both of them have there importance without backlinks you cannot get ranked for sure even if your website is well optimised but you can still be ranked on high in search engine with bad seo optimised website ...
So for me backlinks are the most most important factor after which all other factors come ..
For sure more your website is optimised it will be easy to get ranked but without backlinks you are standing no where ..
I hope you will find the answer helpful .
Thanks

With the prevalence of scams around us, it is only normal to doubts such claims. However, if you think that you need the particular service then you can proceed. However there should be a complete report on the work done for your backlinks. Also, there should be a clause that you will not pay if the guarantee is not met – that is the high page rank backlinks.
