Facebook is just trying to snap up the site really cheap, while they can, rather than having another competitor such as Twitter doing that.

Yeah, the Facebook offer seems a little on the cheap side and Facebook could offer so much more money if they wanted.

Well, that is a huge sum of money being touted out. I think it is all about the desire to continue with what you're doing which is what the owner of Snapchat did. Sometimes it is not all about the money involved, but the passion in what you do.

Maybe Snapchat owners think that their social media platform is way worth more than the offered amount. I think it’s good that big sites are owned by different persons of groups. I am afraid of seeing the biggest sites to be owned by one person or 1 group because that is a monopoly that can control us. Think if 1 person will own Google and Facebook, what will happen to the internet?
