What's your preferred way to learn?

I like to read tutorials which have many photos as these lay everything out in an easy to understand format. And, luckily there are many tutorial sites online, so if I ever need to learn something, I can usually find what I'm looking for with a quick Google search. What's your preferred way to learn?

I love to learn via video instruction. That way I can simply watch the video time and again until I have mastered the concept. Though I will usually want a written tutorial breaking down the steps, for easy reference.

I like live tutorials, where someone is showing me how to do the new thing. I don't like being on my own when I learn. For this reason, I love classroom learning.

I like live tutorials, where someone is showing me how to do the new thing. I don't like being on my own when I learn. For this reason, I love classroom learning.

There are some online live classes available via webinar where you can learn various subjects on things from crafting to SEO. Though there is usually a fee involved like traditional classroom learning.

I don't mind reading ebooks and blogs to learn new things. It doesn't take much effort to learn if you will just devote a few minutes of your time to the project daily.

I like to play MMORPG games and the quest guides don't help me any. The format is very rigid. I need to see an overview like you get with a video and then go back and get step by step instructions off the wiki guides. This technique works very well for me.

I'm usually multi tasking online, managing my website or dealing with my subscribers, so I don't have time to pick up something and read. So, for those times, I will listen to the audio version or simply play the video in the background and listen to the person talking, rather than watching the video.

I am very much a hands on learner. I have to physically do it, in order to fully understand what the task is. When I went to post secondary school, I had taken a lengthy course in health care. As much as I truly enjoyed most of the book work and assignments, I thoroughly enjoyed the hands on tasks MUCH better. I understood things better. I was actually able to connect the dots, and do it with out being shown more than once.

Doing my online work is absolutely no different. I have to physically do it in order to absorb the information completely. For instance, I've been slowly learning coding (by hand in notepad), and I can tell you, it's been a learning curve for me, BUT I enjoy it. I particularly love to loathe the challenge of coding (if that makes any sense). You get frustrated when it doesn't work right because SOMETHING is missing; you're addicted and you must find the problem to fix it. It's like a mystery to be unveiled, as it's new and quite crisp in your mind. When you find the problem and you correct it, you're so proud of yourself... You think "Damn, I'm good... I'm going to do that again." all because of the challenge.

Or perhaps I'm just a little strange, who knows...lol

This is such a worthwhile venture. I started out online coding my own pages by hand as many of the sites I went to did not have rich text or WYSIWYG editor. That was so long ago. And, that early coding experience still serves me today as I can easily pick my blog themes apart and change elements as I want to fit my own style. In this way, the coding saves money as I don't have to pay for a custom template, since I can create one of my own.

Even with my affiliate store, I like to add images, colors, pages, etc. There is so much more work to be done with it because it's new, and I have a blog on it as well... Which doesn't have much content on it yet, but it's going to. I thoroughly enjoy it.

Im a very hands on learning type of person. It honestly depends on that the activity is that I'm trying to learn. Some things I can learn by just watching it a few times and catching on but some I just have to get in there and try for myself. Very rarely I learn by just doing things witout any guidance or demonstration, but sometimes you just have to figure out things for yourself. For me to learn something new I have to practice and practice hands on for it to fully sync into my brain.

For learning online, the tutorial is the most practical. But for offline learning, the hands on method is the quickest and most effective method for me. When we have a new system in the office, our training are usually hands on. After learning, we in turn teach the users of the system using the hands on method also.

I learned through books years back, I could read anything provided it a book that is worthwhile and I can gain knowledge but now I rely solely on almighty google.All I need do is to use my browser and the problem is solved and knowledge added.

I learn by videos for it is the best form of learning that I've come to enjoy in the past. I still don't see that as impossible as long as I get to do the things needed after watching those videos.

My prefered way to learn is reading resource articles and watching tutorial videos. In fact, I developed many technical skills by reading articles and watching videos. When I want to learn something, I do a quick google search. I will check the top search results. Enrolling for an online classroom is also a great way to learn.

The mention of tutorial videos reminds me of my niece who learned doing makeover just by watching tutorial videos on Youtube. She bought a makeup kit that is expensive and used it when she has a client. In one wedding that I attended, I hired her to do my make up and hair. It was splendid that’s why I was really surprised that she had no teacher and learned the work all by herself… with the help of the tutorial videos.

Videos are a great way to learn. I learned about wordpress customization by watching videos on youtube. Even today I watch videos when I have difficulty in doing something.

For me, If i want to learn something new I would google it because everything that you want to know. Google has all the answer and if i am still not satisfied i would go to youtube for tutorials.
