Email Marketing - how do you do it?

I would love to know what everyone else does with their email marketing.

What email autoresponder do you use and why?

I use aWeber, it was recommended to me and I like the features. It is easy to use and the support staff are very helpful.

Do you have a newsletter series set up and do you send your subscribers to your website or straight to offers? How many emails do you have in your series and how often does it send emails out to your subscribers?

Who wrote your email newsletter series for you or did you do it yourself?

I am wanting to juice up my email marketing marketing so I am looking for any help I can get. I might like to outsource my some of the content writing for my newsletters.

I used mailchimp.com for a client a while ago, he was into the traveling niche and I got an idea of developing a blog as well as articles and contact travel blogger to collaborate with.

I've sent around 2000 emails but got like 7 responses. So I decided to change my tactic. I gather the emails of all top 200 Bloggers and I started contacting them individually.

The template and format was about the same for each blogger except for one part on which I talked about them as an individual and mentioned some article I liked a lot and things like that. I promoted them via our facebook page and twitter account which had quite a lot of followers. I end up receiving around quality 20 backlinks which helped my client rank number 3 on a very relevant and searched keyword in its niche.

So there you have it, I has a lot more luck contacting people the old school way, then using a special tool.

Giving the personal touch certainly does go a long way yes.

I used Mailchimp for a few year but I found that aWeber has a lot more functionality. I enjoy aWeber a lot more.

Never used aWeber is it free long term? Worth buying a monthly subscription?

No it isn't free. They have a 30 day free trial though.

Then the packages start at $19 a month I think. I am on $29 a month because one of my lists has a couple of thousand subscribers.

I couldn't use Mailchimp free either anymore because I have too many subscribers.

Cool thanks for the suggestion. I'll give the trial a try and maybe I'll be convinced.

I have heard lots of people say that they use free email autoresponders but I can't see how something completely free has all the features I need...

Email marketing is of essence and I think you are doing well in focusing on it, unlike what some others seem to do when they only focus on social media platforms. I do not use it myself but I know people who consider aWeber as a very good email marketing software. As long as you are pleased with it I would stick with it. In this link http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2453354,00.asp there is a comparison table that shows some other popular ones which rank well and aWeber is among them too. Highest rated ones include Campaigner, MailChimp, iContact and ActiveCampaign. Mayeb you could look into them.

Yes I think it is important to spread marketing efforts between content marketing, social media marketing, video marketing and email marketing Email Marketing - how do you do it?

I don't think I will be changing easily, I have so much already set up on aWeber that it would be a massive amount of work to change my Email Autoresponder.

The first requirement for email marketing is the email list. You can start with 100, but having 1000 makes more sense. The point is your email list must be really big.
You will have to use mass emal programs. I recommend mailchimp. It is free to use if you send less than 2000 emails.
There are numerous templetes. Using one of thes tempelets, add contents. Then upload your list and hit send button. Good think about mail chip is it will tell you who viewed your email and who checked the links.
The bottom line is your list must have people who are genuinely interested in your content.

In the earlier years of the websites here, my husband used the email for the promotion of their website. That was the time when there was no social media yet and the main communication in the internet is the email. It was successful in the sense that they got the desired traffic easily owing to their efforts in sending emails. But it’s not an automated sending. They were using emailing lists that they had gathered and sending emails to the addresses indicated on those emailing lists. But now that it can be automated, I don’t think emailing is still effective in marketing your business. Using the social media is a more potent way of promotion.
