Dominate the search rankings even if you're a small business

Almost every business now has a website and that means the competition is pretty daunting when it comes to getting to the coveted top 3 spots for each keyword.

Competing with he big businesses who already have a lock on the top 3 is tough to do since they have access to funding you only dream of or they already have the linking profile which is nearly impossible to compete with.

If you're new to the online marketing game, you may not be able to fight these larger corporations head to head for the top 3 spots. The only way you'll be able to compete is if your product is a new invention, but even though you have something new, you'll have to cut through the digital noise in order to break out.

I've got a few tips you can use to still be successful even if you're going up against large corporations Dominate the search rankings even if you

Let's get to it.

1. Dominate your local market

People on smartphones usually search for local businesses or services in order to get something done. Local search is getting more popular since the search engines are giving priority to mom and pop shops with great reviews and services. It's not the million dollar corporations dominating everyone anymore Dominate the search rankings even if you Big businesses may have what you do, but you're a specialist and can do it better. Whether it's making cupcakes or unclogging a drain, your baked goods are hand made and custom and your plumber services are backed with years of knowledge. People understand this and will contact you.

Be sure to get on the citation websites like yelp, yellowpages, superpages, etc. because the search engines are following those platforms more now than ever.

Be involved within the community like sponsoring local events or participating with charity events. You can donate branded merchandise in order to be given away to people and that's a way you can market for a small fee. Pens and magnets seem to work best because people can use them daily.

2. Be the authority in your field

The internet is turning into a phone book, and people are searching reviews and companies all the time and making decisions on whether to buy based on what they find online. Post great content on niche related websites, blogs or forums and even your own website. This will help you get ranked in the SERPs for many low competition keywords and bring people into your website. People will judge you based on what you say before they even talk with you. So make sure you're spinning words of gold and helping out people for free online Dominate the search rankings even if you

If you can find local websites talking about your niche or industry, get on them! Even if the website isn't popular, you don't know who's reading your posts and coming to your website. I personally have been on a few websites, blogs and forums that are in my area and they get maybe 1 or 2 uniques a day, but they consistently send me customers each month due to me posting on there and helping out when I can. People see me helping others and they will evaluate my content to figure out if I know what I'm talking about. They will then message me on that forum, website, blog or they will email me directly through the website I have linked in my signature Dominate the search rankings even if you

3. You need to be mobile

It's pretty insane to see how many small businesses don't think they need their websites to be responsive (mobile friendly). All the time I hear "I don't need to be mobile friendly, I'm only working with people in the area and they know who I am". So you don't want new business? Not everyone knows who you are lol.

Google changed it's algorithm a while back and gives priority to responsive designs in it's SERPs. This is due to the massive amount of searches on Google being from mobile devices. If the website doesn't load properly within the mobile device, that person usually leaves pretty quick. Optimize for mobile and you'll notice a lot more people contacting you Dominate the search rankings even if you

In the end, the local market is your main target at first if you're in a niche with big businesses. Hit it hard and it will pay off in the long run Dominate the search rankings even if you

I love that step 2 which talks about being an AUTHORITY in your field. infact, in my opinion, that is the best step of them all as it will build you a strong reputation and respect among others. Thanks so much for these tips as it will surely help us a lot in our internet marketing job.

Oh yes I know what you mean Razzy, I had a big problem with my website not being so great with mobile. I had a lot of feedback from my readers saying that they were struggling with my website and I think that accounted for my low bounce rate too.

I have now had my website worked on and it has a new theme, it is loading much faster and it is much more mobile friendly. I am really enjoying this now.

Regarding being an authority in your field. I find that very interesting and what you are saying is so true.

I know a bit about blogging, SEO and social media marketing but I wouldn't call myself an expert by any means yet since I am very much present online and I make myself visible for some reason people ask me for help and contact me... even when I don't offer those services!

I have had a lot of people contact me and ask me to do content writing for them, plus a good few people have asked me to help them market their online business or start a website.

Business owners and most of my clients are slowly starting the understand that mobile is very important in 2016. They themselves are using their mobile phones more and more for more complex things every day, so they are usually onboard with any mobile optimization I might suggest.

As far as competition and you being the one dominating the scene, well that's the actual hard part, competition is fierce and you need to find a way to stand out, don't just copy your composition in the hope that you'll become as popular as they are because of you won't.
Note: even things that seem insane may work when it comes to standing out and making a name for yourself, that means in this business you can be as bold as you want.

The first 2 have a very strong impact – dominating the local market and being authority in the field. We have the adage of being a big fish in a small pond or being a small fish in a big pond. Many have chosen the first because it is far easier to be a big fish in a small pond. Especially if you have the skills and the budget to expand your business in one locality, capture all the consumers and clients there. When that happens, you are the best in that locality and that’s how you command your authority. Remember the saying that big things start from small things.

I think going local is the way to go. Many people spend time learning from the experience of going local. As they tend to attract more customers who are local. And then based on the local peoples reach their ability to get recurring value out of new leads is possible. I think on that premise more people should choose local search engine is possible.

i actually think that it is a good idea for small businesses to have websites. Many small business owners ignore this very vital aspect of marketing. I also think that it is vital to have your website enabled with mobile. Most people that will land on your website use mobile and they will be more likely to come across your website when they are looking for the services you offer, especially if you manage to rank on page 1 on Google.

Making your website to he mobile friendly is going to keep you ahead of a whole lot of businesses out there. I have come to notice that you will always gain a lot by doing this instead of having to have a website that is not really mobile friendly.

Also, trying to dominate the local market is an impressive thing to do once you are looking at getting everything done as regards the way some of the people around you visits your business.
