Just turned down a $300 job on Webfluential... oh it stings.

I was just offered a $300 job on Webfluential, I took one look at it and I just knew I had to turn it down.

Yes I get paid to write reviews, quite often on my websites. But this does not mean I will write what anyone wants me to or that I will promote something I don't believe in.

I hate MLM, the way I see it MLM is a glorified pyramid scheme and I have said as much on my online marketing blog.

Now I can't very well go and promote an MLM opportunity on my mommy blog now can I?

Anyway that was $300 I just kissed goodbye.

Well I don't see them as "kissed goodbye" you stood up for your principles, you know what is best for you and your blog, I'm glad you don't compromise for a quick buck, this shows determination and dedication for what you are currently doing with your blog!

I'll bet you'll gonna turn offers down in the future also, I'm doing it all the time. People contact me for shady job offerings all the time, I quickly turn them down which for some reason makes them up the price, this makes me interesting and I give them a chance to hear what they have to say even though I have a good idea - the final verdict is always the same, doesn't worth my trouble.

Cristian that is exactly it. How much money is my business worth to me? It actually doesn't matter what they offered me, it could have been $100 000. The way I see it is that offer would have crucified my business.... it would have ruined my online reputation so I might not find it easy to create a new online business.

Seriously that is not worth any amount of money.

I salute you and the fact that you refuse to compromise yourself over money. Indeed, you could have use the money in so many ways but then how would you feel about yourself knowing that you overstep your limits.

I hate MLM (multi level marketing) with all my being. I don't like cheaters and frauds and usually the people that run MLM are nothing else than smooth talker scammers. I never invested and i will never invest in any of this schemes just because they are not profitable for you as a beginner.

You have to be really naive to think that you will earn 1000% more in the first month or whatever amount they present with no work. Nobody, in this world, will give you anything for free. Everything comes with a cost.

Oh a fellow MLM hater.

Yeah I detest MLM so much, no money would make me write a positive review about any MLM opportunity!

Sometimes you need to consider other things other than just the monetary gain you could have made. I think you were right to refuse this if you did not feel okay with it. After all it is your site and it is up to you what to include and what not to include in it. I am sure other opportunities where you will be able to earn money will come your way, you wait and see!

You know what you turned it down for the rite reasons. Whats the sense of making money if you don't feel good about what your doing. Writing reviews pay that much? I have never seen a site that pays that much for reviews. I looked few months back to see if i could do something like this. Everything i found online was less than $1 per review and i had to jump through 1000 hoops to get paid. I would like to look into this is their a referral service of some sort that you can get credit for if i sign up? Is it $300 one time or every so often? I Agree with Mike if you turned it down because you don't feel its legit or because you feel it goes against what you believe in then you are protecting your investment which is your blog. The money never touched your hands so don't consider it a loss its just money you didn't make yet never happened.

Well I don't know what people usually charge or get paid for a review. On my mommy blog I charge nice money for a review.

The job that I turned down came in via Webfluential and I have set prices there for website posts, Youtube videos and social shares. . I have to admit I have set my prices there very high Just turned down a $300 job on Webfluential... oh it stings.

I know the feeling. I've turned down several jobs, of various amounts, due to the same reasons. I felt that I wouldn't be able to provide what they expected to 100% or, I felt that it wasn't my "cup of tee" basically, so I had to turn it down. - It stings for sure, especially if you're in a situation in life where you would need that extra income, but I'd rather skip a few meals per week than do things I don't feel comfortable with. - And I've done it several times.

Long term it is a much better decision to make than to take the money now. I am quite confident that it was the right move for me.

Fortunately it is not like I can't feed my family, so it didn't hurt too much.

As long as the loss of income didn't hurt you so to speak, and as long as you do things because of your own choices, then I'm glad for you. - You had a superb chance to earn $300, but you had to do something that you normally don't offer, so why should you do it this time? - I'm glad you're not a "sell out", which most people are today. Especially freelancers.

MLM or multi-level marketing has been successful in many ways simply because of the greed of some people. The sales pitch is for you to recruit members that you can fool. It’s as simple as that. MLM is not exactly a full-blown scam but it’s a scam nevertheless since you are preying on the efforts of your recruits. Imagine, you can earn without lifting a finger if your recruits are very resourceful in doing their selling and recruitment as well. Usana is one company using MLM scheme.
