Seriously, aren't you tired of all these emails you get each day?

- I get a handful of emails each day and I often get emails during the whole week from the same person.. But, he's promoting another product each time.

That just doesn't work for me.

Even though I know he's promoting other people's services or products, I would still prefer to get emails about products in a certain niche or two. Not just blatantly sending me emails about whatever products he can find. It's annoying.

What do you think?

Oh yeah for sure if I get too many I either become overloaded or overwhelmed and a bit fed up of not really getting something valuable that is just trying to sell my something. That's what email has sort of lost these days, people used to use it to send normal stuff that you'd like to get, but these days a lot of people don't send an email unless it's trying to sell something or something promotional in nature.

But it really depends for me how many I'm getting and whether or not I'm finding them valuable. I guess it sort of depends who you're subscribed to and what you're subscribing to as well. I don't mind getting emails about different products they are promoting if they are working for those people and they don't try and oversell it and just it for what it is. New affiliate programs or products they're reselling, what's hot and trending right now and what they're doing to go about it all. That is useful as you can then apply that in your own life.

But I know what you're saying in that when you're subscribed to something specific you really want to get emails that is all about that specific niche market or product or service that will help to empower your knowledge and expertise on that niche market or product etc. I wouldn't mind if the products and things promoted were somehow related but not just blatant plugs of different products and things that would just annoy me and too many would have me clicking that "unsubscribe" link that by law should be in the email so you can unsubscribe at any time.

That's what I think! Stick to a specific niche if you

Mike.

I won't mention names or anything, as I find it a bit rude, but I subscribed to a rather huge internet marketer. And I mean huge in terms of being kind of famous.. At first, probably the first 3-4 months or so, I got about 2 emails each week. Extremely well-written, in-depth with very valuable information, especially when it was totally free of charge. And yes, he was obviously also promoting other people's services in the newsletters I got from him. But the product he was talking about, and the product he promoted was related to him as a person so to speak, and he was always giving away valuable information for free within the newsletters.

That being said, about 3-4 later, he suddenly, from nowhere, started to send an average of 2 emails each day, 7 days a week, with less valuable information and it looked like he was basically just copying a product's description and sent me the information about the product along with his affiliate links..

I unsubscribed after 3 weeks or so. I had hopes but it went downhill from that point.

Ohhh I believe that's called "Bait and Switch" They lure you in with something free and then suddenly spring the hard sale and push you to buy buy buy! I'm like no, more like bye bye bye LOL Stick to a specific niche if you

I wonder what what his ROI ratio is like that makes it worth doing like that? I prefer to subtly and gently persuade people into it, make them feel like they need it and then slowly eventually offer it to them but only because it would be good all round but that's how I think when I'm writing services on here to sell and that and I would much prefer that myself rather than the bait and switch technique!

I know Mike, but it's horrible. This was a respected internet marketer.. And he's doing something like that. Even if it was a "bait and switch" which it totally looked like obviously, it's just pure insane how you could treat your business like that. I bet he raked in affiliate sales as he would probably have liked thousands of subscribers eager to earn money and all that.. But most people would probably have unsubscribed, at least sooner or later.

It's a shame actually. And now I'm interested to know if this guy even exists nowadays or if this was some sort of attempt to earn huge amounts of money before he gave up freelancing.

i think he is only trying to make huge amount of commission as his cash within some short period of time and its obvious that he may be doing it wrongly by diving into different niche and sending 2 emails per day,..hmmmmm,..very annoying most times. well, the sooner he realize how wrong he is, the better before he loses all his subscribers.

I totally agree with you chetaseo! - I don't mind getting a few emails per week and everything was great for the first couple of months.. Later on this insane thing happened and I can't stand it. - He must have hit his head or something. Probably cracked his skull entirely. - I can't see why ANYONE would ruin their whole list, their reputation and their business by doing foolish things like this.. I hope he's okay, and that he realized what he was doing.. Otherwise, I can't see how or why he would be able to work online in the future.

I absolutely hate marketing emails. I do not want to be marketed to when I open my email inbox. I do not mass send marketing emails to anyone so why should they be allowed to do it to me. The most interesting fact about of all this, is that I do not even subscribe to the marketing emails I get! I believe if you signup for a website, or certain websites they will sell your information to a third party company, and usually it's marketing email spam.

I even try to unsubscribe from the emails but they keep coming back, and it appears that once I try to unsubscribe I get double the amount of emails after than before I attempted to unsubscribe. I think they realize that the email account is active, and spam me to hell, and don't even care to acknowledge my opt out request! Very annoying indeed!

I believe sticking to one niche will make you an expert in the said niche, so yeah, stick to one domain and you will have a lot more benefits in the long term. I've learned this the hard way in life, I always branched out to learn as more things as possible but to also practice as many things as possible, the tragedy is that I become an expert in none of them, took my a while to realize that all I needed to do is focus on one domain.
