What's the best way for me to make money from my blog?

Hey people!
As you might have seen during the past weeks, I've been asking tons of different questions about SEO and blogs. Especially blogs, as I'm about to start one myself..

However, I do understand that people are often using Adsense to make some sort of income from their blogs, but from my understand, Adsense earnings are insanely hard to "get rich" from, or to even make a decent extra income. (I guess that depends on the blog itself, but it looks like it in general at least).

That's why I ask you this. All of you seasoned bloggers and everyone with knowledge about this. - How do you make money as a blogger, from your own blog?

And please, don't just fill this with "the best ways of doing it".. I'm looking for the "best way" for myself so to speak.

I don't have a blog yet. I will make one. I don't have content and I don't have hosting. I don't have a single thing. I start from zero, but I'm still eager to make money, somehow. - And that's what I'm looking for.

How can I earn money from my blog, from scratch?

Best Regards,

A best way for now that you are just starting is to create some short articles about why SEO services is very important to a site or online business, post articles that offer solutions that most online businesses face on a daily basis and input in your seoclerks services or any other freelance services or products that you offer online or some services as an affiliate. then you promote your website to the social media, IM forums, social bookmarking etc. That is surely the best way for now since your site hasn't get much credibility in the eyes of Google search engine to be ranked high for you to begin offering guest blog post, banner advertising etc. it will surely take much time. but for now, just make use of it to promote your freelance services and products. SIMPLE!!!
you can check out this site: http://communityclerks.com which is owned by exjordanary, a seoclerks seller.
Until you begin to get lots of traffic visitors to your blog daily which will take lots of time, say 2 years or bit less, its usage will be somehow limited for now.

Thank you chetaseo, I appreciate your input. However, even though I can see your point and I do think it's a great suggestion, I'm not really interested in doing a freelancing blog "about SEOClerks" and advertise tons of SEO related services using my affiliate link. - I want more than that. I want to do things differently.

Sure, I'm aiming for a freelancer related blog, with various content in that field, and I'll probably use affiliate links for services and/or products too.. But that's not what I want to aim for. I want to focus on other things, and have that as "that little extra" so to speak.

Andre I agree with you there, you don't just want to pitch all the time. Your readers will be so onto that and it becomes boring and stale. Your readers will follow you because you give them valuable and unique information.

Yes for sure you can add in some affiliate links for SeoClerks, but also add affiliate links for other things. I mean how many hosting companies are there? How many domain name companies... keyword tools... geez you name it.

I wouldn't do one site just to pitch one opportunity. And some content should not be pitching anything, well other than how awesome and cool you are.

Andre here's the thing, you want to know the best way for you to make money from your blog? I believe you need to learn how to blog first right? You need to start getting some traffic and figuring out how you can engage with your readers. This is really important for the personal touch.

Then you also need to start collecting email addresses.

In the beginning I would advise you to completely forget about making money since you won't make anything anyway until you start getting people onto your blog.

Even Google Adsense won't approve you until your blog has a decent amount of activity on it.

What I have found for each of my blogs is that I might have a vision of what I want to do, but things change and take on a life of its own. I believe successful bloggers can adapt to this and really make it their own.

The sky is really the limit here with how you can make money from your blog so I won't even touch on that. Each blogger needs to find his or her own unique little place on the internet. Once you have done that you can start to play around with making money.

You will do great, you have had some wonderful ideas that you shared here, just start playing with those kind of things on your own website.

Hey Lynne.
I truly need to learn "how to blog" before I can start making money off of it. That's true indeed.

However, I've always been that kind of guy who want's it all laid out. The whole process. The whole plan. Because I usually don't just follow one thing and hope it will bring me great results. I usually have a few plans in mind. A, B and very often even C and D too. So if plan A doesn't work in the long run, I want to change it and try plan B. But I also want to have that plan ready, before plan A stops working. If it doesn't work.

Do you understand what I mean? What

And I have a few ideas for sure, a couple of "aces up my sleeve" so to speak. But it's always good with some more insights and to hear others experiences. What

Andre seriously once you have traffic and your domain authority goes up you can like do whatever you want with it. I try loads of different things on my blog. Adsense, Youtube videos (monetized videos and people pay me to create and include Youtube videos with their product review posts), paid social media promotions, product placements, product reviews, sponsored blog posts, publishing guest posts, affiliate marketing...

I totally get that you want a plan though.

What I have found though is that I earn from each thing and that all contributes to make my income. Some of them are not huge earners, but they are quite constant so over time it adds up, like Adsense for example.

And yes have a number of things that you implement and that is a great idea. It is quite strange, I have found that one month I will earn loads on one thing and then not so much on others and then another month my main earner will change again and the previous months earner will be low.

So it is amazing having a number of income streams.

I think it would depend a great deal on the type of blog. For instance, if you feel that there are going to be several possibilities where you can link its content to products, then that would be a great way to make money from it. At first I believe that it is better to focus on creating great content so as to attract followers. Once those followers have got used to your blog thanks to engaging and regular blog posts, you can then think more about monetizing it.

Start the blog first and figure things out as you go. There isn't a direct recipe. depending on what you have to offer and what direction you like best you can earn money from by doing affiliate marketing or Adsense or selling a product (real or digital).

My point if you can't have everything figured out if this is your first attempt to start a blog. Once you have some previous experience things will become much clearer and you may figure out exactly what direction you want your blog to take and how exactly are you going to monetize it even before you start, but for first time bloggers, writing and starting getting traffic is the first step towards success.

Using network ads and affiliate products are the best ways to make money from your blog. You need to generate a huge traffic though. If you get thousands of visitors everyday, you will get ad clicks and product sales, which will earn you money.
You can also sell product or services through your blog.

As of now, I’d say that it’s only Adsense that makes sense in earning money from your blog. But I’ve heard that applications for an Adsense account is not that easy anymore. Your blog should have a good number of traffic, that’s according to one post in a forum. If that is the case then your blog should be online for a time, maybe a month, and is getting some readers, maybe a hundred. But when you finally get an Adsense account and your blog is getting a good exposure then I guess you will be happy with the rewards.

In my experience you need a bit of time to monetize your blog. The fastest way of earning is to sell something from it. Be it a product or a service. You could also earn a small income thru affiliate marketing.
