Guaranteed results for freelancers tips and tricks

Hello
i wanted to start this discussion based on my experience.
How to become successful freelancer and get sales and keep customers coming back .

You may have talent and you are an expert in you field but that's not enough for a successful business.

You can come create an account and post a service that could be great that's not enough also.

So what's enough ?

First you have to build a good profile that represent yourself with no fictions.

second is to create your first gig.

Many people can post many gigs without getting sales for a long time. why ?

i think its all about the description of the gig in first impression you have to know what your buyer at the other is thinking and how he will receive your information you have posted in your gig description.

I want to tell you that when creating your gig and writing your gig description be specific what your service is about.
define the principle objective of your service and don't be excessive in writing just words for things your gig cannot offer .

  • Write with precision the results
  • write service objective
  • post a proper image of your gig.

Write description that buyer mind can believe that you are giving real service and if he buy he will get results.

Your first sale is very important start because it will have your first buyer review. if your buyer is satisfied and post a positive review there is chance of +30% you will get your second sale and so on.

here I'm talking about building your online trust.More happy buyers = more sales.

All start with the trust if you are offering services that offer what is described and the buyer get the results from your services.
This buyer will come back to you. because he get what he pay for and many others will follow him.

Don't think that you are smarter than the other person sitting behind your computer screen. So don't think to offer unbelievable results with a sweet words description. just write your about gig and what it can really do.

Tell me your opinions about that dear readers.

Great post! And, I really appreciate that you would take time to share your knowledge of freelancing.

When I was an active freelance writer, the one thing that helped me more than anything was (not only the good service description) but repeat buyers. It's very difficult to build a solid freelance business if a good percentage of your work comes from one-off type customers who only buy once and then never again.

So, how do you get that customer to come back and order again? If your work is top quality, you won't have to do much as they will want to employ you time and again. Having the lowest prices is not even the best strategy as it puts you in direct competition with others who will under-cut you on prices every time. A better solution is to do your best work every time (whether writing or providing SEO services or
Youtube likes); provide superior customer service and always give more than they asked for. Your buyers will love you for it and come back again and again.

As you said, build trust with your buyer; make them understand you are dependable and will do the job you were hired for. That's when your freelance business will really take off.

yes sure i agree with building customers relationship as a seller you have to clear all worries from the mind of buyers because they are investing their money on your service.

also i agree for the price of each service the price must reflect the real value of your services and off course you have to be fair when pricing your services. so the seller must put the real value of the efforts he is doing to accomplish the job. at same time not every cheap service and not every expensive service is good here come the value of the service and here the buyer will get an eye on the reviews made by other buyers. actually me i do that when buying a service.

So seller must focus on the quality of the gig as you said to build trust and get more sales.

Also sellers must work to bring customers even from outside seoclerks by sharing their gigs with social media.

Also sellers must work to bring customers even from outside seoclerks by sharing their services with social media.

This is such an important point. Some sellers will just sit back and wait for buyers to come to them. And, I realize there is a lot of traffic through the site; even thousands of people coming through daily. However, those same potential buyers are looking at many services; not just yours. And, you can't just wait and hope they will randomly see your service. You need to bump those important services daily, so they appear at the top of their category. You can earn free bumps by doing many things on the site including logging in and even posting new discussions daily.

Some people don't post new discussions here on our Community forum, because they worry the discussion won't be accepted for lack of impeccable English skills. And, I can tell you, that's not how it works at all! If a member is making their best effort to contribute good information, their post will get published here as what they have to say is most important; more than how it's said.

Also as you indicated, being active on social media; forums; Twitter or where ever you have a really good following.

Some of my best freelance writing clients came from just posting on forums (with signature line linking to my best SEOClerks service). Just being active and helpful in related SEO and webmaster forums is a good idea anyway as it brands your name in the community. Others will contact you via PM on those forums to ask for your assistance, expertise with various projects. And, that's when you can link them to your best SEOClerks service.

Also, offline marketing is another great way to entice others to come to the site to see your profile. Get some printed business cards and include the link to your SEOClerks profile. You can buy a super cheap domain and have it redirect to your SEOClerks profile. That domain link can be printed on business cards; flyers for local distribution; local newspaper or magazine ads; online sites, etc.

On a related matter, if you want to earn good affiliate income by referring buyers to SEOClerks; you should contact the support desk and ask them if you can be part of the affiliate coupon program, which allows you to give your affiliates (those who sign up with your affiliate link) a $5 coupon just for signing up. Most people will sign up and order a service if they know there is an incentive involved.

There's a lot more to be covered on this subject and looking forward to hearing more about your own experience as well as the freelance experiences of others.

Hey rajanshilpakar, thanks for contributing. Please be sure to create your own discussion to earn free bumps for your services daily. Bumping your services is the best way to get noticed and earn more sales. Also, posting in the Discussion area helps to keep our community strong. And, as you can see, your name links to your seller profile, which is really good advertisement to others who might be visiting us here.

The way one presents himself is really important. I often encounter sellers with sloppy service descriptions which reflect poorly on them. I think it is also important to give some proof as to what you are capable of offering, especially if youa re still new and have no ratings, reviews and recommendations to show your reputation.

These are some of the nice tips. I have also learned that if you can give good service to the buyers, then that also helps. You can reach more people like this. And you can serve yourself lot better this way. I have found that in some cases where the freelancers can have the best service end up getting recommended. And this is sort of domino effect for them. So yeah apart from above tips, go with the word of mouth.

This post is excellent. I wished I have done my proper research before starting years ago. Sometimes, learning on the job is fine but it does hold you back in some way.

Thanks for the tips! I've been writing the services but I haven't been writing the results! maybe that's why my page is not that succesful when it comes to getting customer for nursing services. I get to sell some products but the services are hard to sell. Especially when it comes to having few experience. How do you sell been a young person in a market where the old -and more experience people- are the favorites ones? What's a good way to sell a young entrepreneur as the best choice?

I think having some referral with the people you worked with is a best idea. And that way you can get the sale rolling. As for reaching out to new young people. You have to find out where they hang out. And then promote your services over there. That's what I have learned so far.

Creating a catch profile is one sure way to get the clients interested and that is an act that most freelancers should thrive to have in the sense that with a catchy profile, the clients would find working with that type of freelancer interesting and that is the first step in building a great relationship with most of these clients. So, I agree with you on the need to have a well-detailed profile that explains everything about the said freelancer.

If you want to succeed as a freelancer you need to have related skills, experience, and certificates. For instance, for a writer to succeed, she should have a good understanding of language skills as well as writing skills. The writer must also show the client his experience, for instance, links to his articles, ebooks or website/blog. He should also have some certificates to show to the potential clients like the certificate you received after attending writing courses.

This discussion makes me ponder on selling services. As a writer, which I consider myself, perhaps I can earn more by offering my services. And although forum posting is my forte for now, I can also write blogs and articles and probably I can even do copywriting jobs. However, I am stopped on my tracks at once because of the time constraints. But still, this thread is an eye opener on what more I can do to earn.

Great tips. Offering your services on bidding sites is not an easy task. I have been on one bidding site that I would call hell on earth. I'm not sure that bidding for work especially on a global platform is the best thing to do. I think that the competition is too fierce. I know that is advised that you make a good profile. However you need to remember that they are millions of good profiles out there. This is the perfect example of a needle in a haystack.
