How important is video blogging as compared to typical blogging?

Can you please give some example or detailed about Video and Typical Blogging different .
Which one i start and which one is much better to start for a start up blogger.

Because my some friends told me video blogging is much easier and best for as a start up blogger.
In typical blogging i need to write as much as unique content to be live fresh blogger and get people to read out.

In video blogging i just need a video to explore my blog posts in my blog with some content which clear give info about Video.
Any suggestions for me in it. ?

I think that, One technical benefit is that the time spent by the visitor watching a video is more than regular blog post which has text and images only.
This helps the blog earn priceless benefit in search engine results. Blogging also helps you get discovered via social media.
Every time you write a blog post, you're creating content that people can share on social networks. But if it is possible to go for video as it is a powerful way to earn lots of good points for a blog.
So which helps expose your business to a new audience that may not know you yet.

Many people say video blogging or vlogging is the way to go. They are probably right since Ad Blocking is now implemented. But as for me, I don't have that particular skills set. So I'm still doing blogging and thinking about whether or not to start a forum. Hope your vlogging efforts are successful.

I think vblogging which is about uploading a video online either to teach, educate or entertained people to me is quite simple.

with vlogging, you don't to worry about SEO or getting rank in the search engine.

you don't need to worry about much researching before you write or trying to search for grammatical errors in your writer ups.

Personally,I find is easier to upload videos than blogging.

I think not every blogger can pull off the vlogging. I have found that some of the time you just have to try and be natural and let it flow. Start with getting your voice out there. And build on it. And this way you can slowly go ahead with the video blogging. Some of the time blogging is not that easier. And doing vlogging is even more so. Depending on the person and his fan following not all can be successful.

I think that vlogging is even more reliant on personality that blogging. In blogging, it's important that your voice shine through what you're writing, but on video, it's even more important that your personality "pops" and captures the attention of as many people as possible.

You could have the most boring life, or be doing the most mundane things ever, but if you have a killer outlook on things and a sweet personality, you can probably make those every day actions the most exciting that anyone's ever experienced them.

I think with blogging as in written words, there is some personality too. But people pay attention to links and keywords. So blogging is relatively easier than the vlogging. So it would not be that easy to pull it off if one has camera shy personality. I am one of them. I mostly do desktop videos and that works out for me.

I agree on having the different take on life aspect. That always works out. I have found even my channel works if I explain things a bit different.

Video blogs, or vlogs to be exact, is all rage. People are more interested to watch a 10 minutes video instead of reading 500 words article that takes only a couple of minutes. Since the audience for vlogs is growing, bloggers have changed their publishing platforms, they now prefer to create vlogs instead of blogs. However, not only can do video blogging. Creating vlogs is more of a technical thing.
In you are publishing a blog, all you need is writing skills, SEO skills and publishing platform. However, for a video blogger apart from writing and SEO skills, other technical skills are also required, for example, shooting a video or using a desktop recording program, video editing skills, and voice over slills.

I agree that 10 minutes videos are doing lot better out there. And there seems to be many people making the vlogs lately. But the point being video needs to reach more people. And if not done, it'd be definitely something we have to consider there. There are some apps that help make the video editing easier so often those type of videos can reach more people. Still I think writing has more role than the videos.

You can use video to market your products, business even articles. However, you need video making skills to make videos. You need knowledge of video editing and developing contents for the video. Your video must also be optimized for internal ranking as well as for search engine. The point is your videos must be discovered by people to benefit from video marketing.

Yes I am going for the video these days. I am going to buy the subscription for the reeviio app. And hopefully I can promote my own business with that. Considering they have really good video editor and the template for the same. You can see that typical blogging is lot different in such case for the same. I guess we are going to learn from the experience.

I have not tried vlogging yet. I did create videos for hubpages and my videos had goood traffic. However, hubpaged disabled video and my hubpages videos are lying discarded on my computer. Vlogging has a lot of potential, however, creating video is more of a technical skill.

You may want to try out the infographics. I am sure your articles site can benefit from it. Not sure how videos will help your articles site. But sure worth trying if you want traffic. Also you have to ask for more article writers and maybe they can be of use if they can do guest posting. Most of the time vlogging has limited reach and so the article writing or say guest writing can be of help.

Infographics can help your written contain gain better visibility. These days, people are not reading much, however, they are checking infographics and videos. For vlogging you need video making skills. If you do not have video making skills, you may not be able to benefit from vlogging. However, you can try to make videos for your written content and gain engagements on your content.

Yes the infographics seems to be reaching more people. And we can see that some of the time the typical blogger does not know how to make use of the video blogging option there. I guess we have to learn how to get the most things properly done in that case. I guess we need to learn from our experience.

I am not comfortable with video blogging or vlogging because of the difficult process that you have to do in coming up with a video. And it depends on the kind of blog to see the advantage of vlogging against blogging, i.e. video versus written. For a cooking blog, I guess the video would be a more effective medium. That can also apply to a blog about sports or workout. But for technical blogs, the written blog is more appropriate.

I agree with your point of view. A recipe will come out better if it is in video. You can show people how to make a certain dish. Video also performs better if it is DIY kind of content. However, for informative content that deals with facts and figures or interprets something, blog will be a better platform.
