Increase your Adwords conversion rates by using AMP landing pages!
The AMP technology just works! It makes a better surfing experience for everyone and in the era of smartphone speed and simplicity goes a long way for many marketers. If you really want to make money online you need to stay one step ahead of everyone else, if you wait around for things to get official and mainstream you may already lose the success train. Be innovative and creative with your Adwords campaigns and this is where AMP comes into play.

Maybe not many marketers are aware of this, but I'll let you in on a little secret: You can use AMP landing pages in Adwords to increase your conversion rates!
It is true that Google Adwords doesn't yet support AMP at a native stage, but I'm sure things will quickly change in the future, in the meanwhile you can still use AMP pages in your Adwords campaigns! And guess what? Both the users and Adwords will love you for doing it!

Why? The answer is simple because Google and its organic users value SPEED!

For the ones of you that don't know much of what AMP really is it was developed in 2015 by Google as a set of code criteria for web pages which get cached in Google's own special AMP cache making them lighting fast, loading almost instantly. Since then Google has continued to improve the AMP project and started to give preferential treatment to pages that did had AMP implemented, ranking them higher in the mobile search results and therefore getting them more organic traffic.

But what has this to do with Adwords?
Well, Google has a similar set of values when it comes to ads in Adwords, it values speed! Pages that have AMP have a clean code and the speed of which they load affects Adwords's speed score in a hugely positive way!
Even if Adwords doesn't yet load them from Google's catch the code of AMP pages is so good and loads so fast that it essentially gets way better scores than any normal web page.

Appetently, after switching to AMP pages in Adwords Wired Magazine start receiving a 25% improvement in their Click Throw Rate. This is huge! And guess what? If you get a high CTR you also get an improved Adwords Quality Score.

Ok so let's list the main benefits of using AMP pages in your Adwords campaigns:

  • More clicks coming from the same ad
  • Becouse of the better Adwords Quality score you will also have a lower CPC
  • An increased ROI because of all the extra traffic
Bottom Line: Don't waste time and get into Google AMP on all fronts, including with Adwords. As for today, 1.7 billion pages are using AMP, this isn't a Google "trend" that will fade away anytime soon so make sure you benefit from all of these "tricks", right from the start before it becomes mainstream!

This AMP Google did is really great. Now, as a casual user of Google's search engine, I prefer clicking links that has AMP on them, since they tend to load faster. There's definitely more traffic to sites that's AMP Integrated. So it would be a nice thing to have if you are maintaining a site.

Great tips . For some of us that are just starting out in the ad words world, we need all the help we can get. Getting people to click on ad words may seem simple but it is not as easy as it seems. Most people now know what ad words are and they just don't click. I've never heard of AMP but I will definitely be checking it out.

Webmasters should always remember that internet users in general have short attention span that majority would exit from your web page if it is slow in displaying the entirety of the content. It doesn’t really matter much if the user is using mobile browser or computer browser. As long as the landing page is not quick to display then you might be losing visitors to your site. The accelerated mobile page is one good thing that can give your site a better experience in mobile browsing.
