How do you promote yourself/services?

Hello! I'm just starting trying to get myself and the work that I do out there to other people to earn a little more extra money. I know people have already asked this so I apologize for making another discussion about it but how do you advertise yourself? Do you use social media? Ads? I'm just curious what the best way to get yourself out there is. Any help is appreciated!

Social media is by far the best way to promote yourself for free, although content on the internet can be oversaturated depending on what your promoting, there is really no other outlet were you can reach people from all over the planet, with that being said, it's still go to get out and work the local market, and the combination of local and internet promotions should lead to success.

You can do offline and online promotion. If you have a small budget, you can publish about your services and products in classified ads. You can also make posters and paste in the public places such as bus station, library, community center etc. As for online promotion, you can use facebook. You can do free promotion on facebook. If you don't get better result, you can try paid advertising. You can also use other social media as well.
Another way to promote your services and products is through your website.

You really need to take advantage of social media platforms. Facebook is still the best network so you should create a business pages along with using Facebook ads. The next effective social media platform is YouTube, a channel with quality videos can prove to be a serious marketing tool.

Social media is definitely a strong way to brand yourself and your services.
If you can't wait months to build up followers with your new social accounts, you can sign up on forums that match your service niche. Sign up, contribute with good content and advice, then promote your services. You can put a signature of your services on each comment you make in the forums. Forums usually have a freelance section or paid services section.

Also, you can promote yourself on sites like SEOClerk How do you promote yourself/services? and many Freelance sites that are out there.

Social media is the free and best source for promoting your service. I prefer to use Facebook and Twitter for this purpose. I can find the people of my own interest in the Twitter. So I can have a lot of followers who can be my loyal customers or the visitors. We can promote our content or products through Youtube.

I usually join forums and be a part of their community. Once they consider me as an active part of the community, they start knowing a few little things about me, and that's the point where I start to tell them about what I do. It's slow really, but it's better than nothing I guess.

Aside from that, as others have suggested, try social media. I usually promote mine on facebook and twitter. It's a bit more easier with the hashtags in twitter, but I usually have to find a way to attract attention first.

I use Linkedin to promote myself , there is a section where you have to keep updating your profile. People will view your profile and you can see daily how many people are reading your profile. If you want people to visit your site or work with them, use Linkedin.

I prefer PPC ad network platform to reach targeted audience for my niche. I always worked with Google AdWords, Bind ads and Facebook ad campaigns. Facebook ad campaigns generated more useful traffic than other PPC ad network for me. You just need to do some tweaking with keywords for your niche.

I always use the internet advantage of promoting my services. The Internet nowadays is the second home for every people especially teenagers. It's already part of our everyday life wherever we are. Promoting my services on the internet gets more attention which results for more potential customer or client. Promoting in a regular way is just wasting time because your just limiting yourself to possibilities. The Internet is free so why not convert yourself into more advanced, fast and reliable tool to make your service easy to attract potential customer or clients.

My Facebook account used to stagnate because it didn't seem relevant to me. But when earnings from the blog became popular, I joined the bandwagon in planning to have my own blog. But something came up, I became a co writer of a blogsite. That pushed me to use my Facebook account to promote my articles. And it is effective because the hits counter of the blogsite showed solid proof.

There are a number of ways to effectively promote yourself on the internet. The number one way--for now at least--is to familiarize yourself with social media marketing. Facebook pages, Twitter and Instagram profiles, viral marketing through forums like Reddit; getting to know these platforms and all their intricacies is absolutely necessary when it comes to marketing yourself in the digital age. Being active in these places, as well as reaching out and networking with others will certainly up the amount of work you can get.
