10 Quick Tips on How to Brand Yourself and Your Business

When it comes to making money online, you'll need to brand yourself.  If you're not trying to brand yourself then you're simply not trying to make money lol.  Well, I should say that you're not trying hard enough 10 Quick Tips on How to Brand Yourself and Your Business   When it comes to branding it's a lot easier than you would think.  It doesn't require you to go out and do tons of speeches to groups of people who are interested in what niche you're in, unless that's what you want to do.  You don't have to spend millions on facebook ads to get people to see your $10,000 video that you had made to increase your sales.

All that is required is you and some hard work.  If you thought this was going to be super easy then you're working at the wrong job 10 Quick Tips on How to Brand Yourself and Your Business

So let's get into it.

  1. Have a unique design - This means your website as well as your blog.  If you have the same design as 10,000 other people in your niche, you're not going to stand out very much.  You can use a WordPress theme, just customize it so it's not noticeable 10 Quick Tips on How to Brand Yourself and Your Business

  2. Get a good looking logo - Logos you make yourself, unless you're a graphic designer, will likely look like sh*t compared to your competitors logo.  You can find plenty of great designers here on SEOclerks.com who can do amazing work for a few bucks.  I personally like using Sajeewa here: https://www.seoclerks.com/Graphics...imited-revisions

  3. Think about a tagline you can use - Now this isn't a necessity, it's more of an add on to your over all look.  This will help get your message across to a bigger community with a few words of text.

  4. Make your "About Us" page stand out - A lot of businesses fail at this part because they just add some bland explanation about the company.  Use the "About Us" page to show timelines of what you've done, show your employees and you can even have a video embedded that shows a walk through of your office.  Get creative and don't be bland with this.

  5. Add social media links - Use all your social media platforms and try to get conversations going on there instead of just on your blog.  This has loads of benefits and not just to keep your profiles active 10 Quick Tips on How to Brand Yourself and Your Business

  6. Start a Podcast - This method is almost untouched if you think about it.  How many people do you see working online that have podcasts?  Maybe 10?  And how many people are there trying to make a dollar every day online?  Millions?  lol get a podcast going 10 Quick Tips on How to Brand Yourself and Your Business

  7. Get Videos Out There - Platforms like YouTube are basically search engines now and not just video websites.  Getting your videos on places like YouTube, Vimeo, etc. will only increase your branding and traffic.

  8. Content Content Content - You need to write up unique content that people want to engage with.  If your content is just boiler plate crap, people will not come back.

  9. Collect Emails - You need to have a free offer on your website to collect emails.  Even if that offer is some basic 10 page ebook, people will sign up for it 10 Quick Tips on How to Brand Yourself and Your Business

  10. Be Yourself - For businesses that aren't in their infant stages, you need to be yourself.  People will read through all the BS you spin if you're not being genuine.  You may not get as many followers right away, but when you start gaining traction you will notice more and more people coming in to follow your words of wisdom 10 Quick Tips on How to Brand Yourself and Your Business

In Conclusion:
When it comes to branding yourself and your business, it's not as easy as you would think.  It's not a difficult thing to do, it's just time consuming and you might not be able to do everything each day or week.  Spread yourself out and work on a few of these things I listed above each week so you don't get overworked and burnt out 10 Quick Tips on How to Brand Yourself and Your Business

Well, a large audience if you have a large audience. It's very hard to get people to listen to what you have to say. If I were to create a podcast, I wouldn't probably get many people to listen to it regularly, more so like those visitors that just come on through because they are bored with nothing better to do.

I wanted to say the same. Going through the list, everything was on point and than I saw podcast and I felt surprised. It seriously is one of the things only few people do. I would have never thought about it myself. Not even sure how would I even start podcasting. I know how to podcast, don't get me wrong, but podcasting about your business is quite unique and I believe I have never heard any podcast from a business yet.

Having a podcast is more like giving a lecture in a classroom. You must find your audience and once you get established then you will gain a reputation that you are an authority in the subject that you are engaged in. My niece has a podcast about Feng Shui and she is considered a Feng Shui master because her listeners could text her for questions that she gives the answer in the podcast.

Sometimes I am so stuck with what design or image I want my business to appear as. I go for a couple of weeks trying to figure out the best branding for my website idea. I try to not take inspiration from other websites as I want it to be a unique idea to the website itself, one that others will say "wow, that's very cool and innovative". But sometimes I just can't quite seem to get that. I use to be able to do this on the spot, and create all the branding but now I am like ''stuck' trying to figure what the logo would be, the color scheme of the website itself, and other elements that would fit all together.

So it may be quick tips, but for some it takes awhile to actually figure out the image they want the public to see for their business. :/l

Branding is one of the most important things when it comes to business. A perfect example of somebody that knew its importance is for sure Steve Jobs. He built Apple all around branding strategies. Even now that he has passed away, people religiously buy the Apple phones. I asked a few of them why they like the iPhones and most just said ''because it is Apple" - brand has enormous influence on consumers.

You listed some great tips. For me a good logo is always what attracts me to a certain brand - it is that initial thing that everybody sees and if it is a quality one, I get interested in more.

#4 and #9 are good points. Who doesn't want free stuff? Also, as humans, we are more likely to support people when we can identify their faces. How many times have you seen a chain business being driven out by loyal customers of a mom and pop business? That's because they can relate to their clients and community. You get to show your clients your struggles, what your mission is, interesting factoids about yourself, and you don't come off as just some faceless business entity. I have seen that big companies are even latching on to this advice as well.

As a business management student, I find these points legitimate. A good brand image is essential to make your company/brand stand out from that of competitors. The quality of your product/service and having a target audience is important too. Doing the above mentioned things will help gain the trust of your audience. Consistency and dedication is necessary if you want to build a good brand.

You have quoted down all the valid points that are needed for any business promotion. I still feel that the prime requirement is the promotion of the website so as to gain access to a gain a large amount of targeted audiences.

The web world is full of excellent content but most of them fail because of lack of proper promotion methods.

Thank you for sharing this list! It will definitely be helpful for me to work on the brand of my business, though it's offline business. I will need to think of a tagline, I read about it from Michael Hyatt recently too. I like the tip of being myself, as I always like to be.

Branding yourself on the internet is not as difficult as you might imagine. The idea is to simply let people know who you are, what you do, and how you can help them. I have found that the easiest way is to just tell them. This is what I mean by this.

I have branded myself as someone who helps new entrepreneurs to get started online by making the technology simple. Every time I give a teleseminar I tell the listeners this is what I do. I also write about it on my blog. In my emails to my list, I again tell people what I do.

Great tips. One should focus, though, on delivering quality service. Make effort to keep your clients coming for more, let them enjoy your service. You'll be surprise how much you can garner with time.

Great article as usual Razzy 10 Quick Tips on How to Brand Yourself and Your Business May I also add that in addition to this, as a beginner, the research into what works best for your niche or industry is very crucial. For instance, the way a Chef will go about branding will be different from the way a photographer will brand themselves. One needs video more and the other one needs quality images more. So extensive research into the brand layout and platform will also determine the success of your branding efforts.

The About Us page is very important that’s why I sometimes wonder when I see that page of a website with practically nothing in terms of substance. My take on that page is that you can use it as your business card so it should contain a summary of your business and your company. That means it’s not only the address and contact numbers that are important. When a visitor drops by that About Us page, he may be expecting some details like where you get your product or how you deal with your clients.
