How to create a "selling" post title

Hi everyone,
I was thinking to invest on a blog, and I think I'm into something. My writing skills are sufficient for the task, but now I need some help from experts.
What steps should I take in consideration for writing a title for an article/post that will gather the attention of many people, for example purposes, let's say we have a bricolage blog.

While I'm no expert I have been dealing with the same struggles you have buddy. What I would suggest is that you do some keyword research and focus your titles on those keywords. Also, it's good to mention your keywords once or twice on your first couple of paragraphs. That should improve your odds of being noticed a lot.

Right. Same for me too. Seems like any other titles or thoughts or concepts that you might think of has been published already. But you can always make one that is eye-catching. But before you can even do that, you got to have good traffics if you are planning to publish it soon because, what's a good title if nobody can even see it?

I have to agree that the inclusion of the keyword in the title has a strong effect on the SEO of your web page. So many discussions have that and I believe it is a fact that’s why some of my freelancer friends would always say that the titles of the web pages are direct to the point which means the keyword or keywords can be found in the title. I am still not well versed with keywords but I guess what I said are true.

Avoid using all CAPS because that's annoying, at least to me. You're going to want to attack one's attention like a money value, I've found success with this and do it a lot.

When I make postings in Craigslist when I'm marketing a website or product, I avoid all caps and put in $xxx.xx then the title and have success that way.

Using keywords that your reader might searching for, make good title because the post title can match the search term. This is a good SEO and it draws readers in because it clearly shows that the post will answer a question they have.

Hi there thanks for thinking about making a blog as business purpose. I should say according to your question make right sentence as look easy and nice which looking eye catching for reader. But, as a SEO learner, I should suggest to you the concern of SEO. If you understand on-page SEO, any type of content can make big role for SEO affect. For that you must to select correct keyword for your title and is bearing your main keyword of that content or blog post. And in body part of your content, you must to try to highlight main keyword and some supporting keywords as well. So, if you only concentrate of tile either not looking SEO factor, that will not be beneficial for you. Permalink also good things for SEO affect.

Hope you understand

Yeah i agree with all but there are some few take away.

1. Make sure you dont over stuff your title with keywords
2. Always keep it above 30 characters, but below 80 characters
3. Avoid making unrealistic and misleading titles, it does more damage than good.

But in all do a proper keyword research and make sure your headings are straight to the point.

Definitely, the first thing you need to do is to use a keyword tool, so it can help you what kind of keywords can generate more traffics to your blogs. More importantly, you need to justify your content with the suitable title which can relate to your topic. Your readers will like it if your title is related to your content.

I do write for a bimonthly publication and also on a website that do post regularly. I am not saying I am a guru or something. But I always try to be poetic when choosing my title. In most cases I would have the title before writing the article. Like in most cases I develop the article from the title. Let me give an instance I want to write about political patronizing and deceit and picked the title as "wolves by the night" I don't know if you understand me but of you do this will give you a hint.

Nowadays, it's kind of hard. The social media (Including blogs) are more competitive than ever. You will need to complement the blog with another social media like facebook, instagram, snapchat, twitter. It's easier to reach people throug this platforms than it is to reach people from a blog. It's very important you use keywords that help people find your post if they're looking for what you're selling and catches their attention immediately.

I have several different blogs and sites, and so I try to cater each of those to its appropriate audience with the titles of my posts. It's good, of course, to link all of your pages to social media to generate traffic, but I also look at the statistics on my blogs and see which ones get the most traffic in terms of content and title, and then try to duplicate that, in a way, in new posts. It seems to be working, to some extent...

Use attention catching words with your keywords in the title. Then spread the keywords in the article not more than 5 times.

Selling post title means your title will be attractive within a sentence so that users or visitors can come to you and can visit your website or products and will buy the product from you. You can do keyword analyzation and can create a title with high volume of keywords so that you can get huge traffic.

Thanks

While I agree with the importance of keyword research, at the end of the day, you should still endeavor to write for people, and not for search engines. Write titles that will grab the attention of readers, as many have pointed out above, but not to the extent of employing clickbait and similar yellow journalism tactics.

Of course, the customers are the boss, so I'm devoting myself to provide a good service, and not for search engines.

Writing a selling post title needs one to research the keyword for such topic, Don't capitalize all the words,to me I feel one is shouting.Let it be a bit subtle.Make the title a catchy one and if possible chip in some trending words to capture the imagination of the visitor.

Keep it short but interesting! Never use more than 70 characters I think exciting titles are always going to attract people into it. Also use only once the key word. I like writing titles as a question because that way people get interested by getting a answer and don't just read it in the title which would save me the time to read te entire article.

Thinking of a title is also my weakness. However, one advice I got was to make the title an action word like Go or Do. Another is to make the title slightly controversial or intriguing. I know it is not easy because it is on a case to case basis. But I am trying to learn the art of making catchy titles. For example in my niche that is about pets, an article detailing the breeding of dogs can have a catchy title of to breed or not to breed. Is that good enough? Oh well, that’s the best I can think of.
