Offering an affiliate option

Offering an affiliate option

Quite a lot of large sites use affiliate programs to promote their own products and to increase sales whilst also rewarding the users that help you promote your products. If you own a small e-commerce site then should you also introduce an affiliate program to try and increase promotion of your products and to try and increase the number of sales you are getting? As long as you keep making a profit, is it not a good idea to give a small commission to someone to try and help you with promotion and marketing? Does anyone here do this already? If not, do you not like the idea of giving out commissions?

You can definitely offer this option. Some of the time this affiliate can be used for getting more traffic. If the people who are into the product and services where this can be really good. I think depending on how you choose referral traffic to convert, you can pursue this option. I personally choosing this for making better conversion for some other authors of book and also for some other products. If I had money then I'd surely would offer affiliate commission.

I have been studying affiliate marketing for a time now and I’d say I am really very interested. However I am not comfortable in engaging in that activity without my own site. My understanding of affiliate marketing is promoting products that you are like the one selling it. When someone buys the product based on your promotion then you earn something. Isn’t it better if I have my own site for that purpose of selling? At least I can also monetize my site and earn from the traffic that it will get.

Yes you got the concept right. And the thing is that affiliate marketing takes time. The reason being google promotes the sites which are genuine. So many made for affiliate links site don't work out much in that case. So I try to make sure that I write some content which resonates with humans on the web. And then rest is just traffic play.

I like the idea of giving out commission. You just have to find the right % of it and set some basic rules that the affiliates have to follow. You can easily do an affiliate option for your e-commerce site and products. Why do you think that so many websites do this? Because it works. It will increase your sells by A LOT if you manage to get good affiliates that know how to sell and promote.

But of course, you also need to take a look at your budget before considering this as a viable option.

Yes, even the local Maxis telecommunication company is offering a small benefit to members and new members too. You can call it a commission or a discount, anyway both benefits on both sides. If the existing member managed to get a new member to sign up an internet package, the existing member gets 10% off the monthly bill. As for the new member, he will get 20% off the monthly bill. This way, the telecommunication company gets more incoming sales and profits. It is a good idea to give out commission or discounts to attract traffic and sales.

That always works to get repeat buyers. That's why affiliate option on products and services is popular. I know this because I have seen people getting into service and products. I know that it may not be easier but it's worth checking out if you are serious. It can be fun to see how the affiliate earning adds up. So one has to consider how the affiliate commision and then that can be good for many reasons. I wish I could have the product that had lot of sales this way. I am just an affiliate though.

I think this is relevant to affiliate program of one of my freelancer friends. He has an e-commerce site selling agricultural products. His friend who sells personal accessories engaged him in cross advertising where the personal accessories are promoted in my friend’s site while his agricultural products are promoted on the other site. It was funny to me because their products have no relevance with each other. But I think that is a good method of using cross promotion.

I think promoting the products and getting better reach on those pages can be a good thing. Though I have realized that some of the time finding the right set of the products is a bit harder. If you can find that combination and work things out that won't be much harder. It becomes easier as you keep trying it.

If you can afford it, I think it'd be worthwhile to at least try out an affiliate program. I think people will be more motivated to sell your product or service if they were to receive some additional incentive. A commission or % back would be a great way to motive sales people to further your cause.

Hallo in my opinion Every business step has purpose, It does not really matter how much comission you have to give in for you to hit your goal I would even compare that with marketing we all know that sometimes for a better marketing we invest a lot of money in advertising so why not give up some percentage to widen your audience? So yes I don't mind to give comissions for whatever good reason.

it is a valid idea. A good business man or woman knows a good business idea and goes for it.Giving a little commission for promotion and sales to an affiliate is a win win situation. The owner makes much sales and profit while the affiliate gets commission and traffic.

I have many friends in social media who are into drop shipping. One of them is thinking of getting help just like the scheme of affiliate marketing. The affiliate has nothing to do but share the marketing post and when someone makes a purchase, the buyer is asked how he got to know of the business. The affiliate is then given a commission. However, she said that it is easier said than done because there might be a problem with the determination of the sales caused by the affiliates.
