How to get downlines in Affiliate Marketing?

I have known about affiliate marketing for years already but I haven't been successful. I have joined a lot of affiliate programs that give out commissions for sales (Amazon) or signups (paid to click sites) but never had any significant earnings from them. My problem is, I don't know how to properly promote my links in order to entice people to click on them. I don't know how to entice people to buy. I don't know how to entice people to sign up under my affiliate links. I do know how to get traffic via social media like Facebook or Reddit. But I'm not getting the conversions that I need.

I've heard a lot of success stories around the web about people engaging in affiliate marketing and getting loads and loads of cash. I'd like to become successful in this field as well.

Do you have any tips on how to be successful in affiliate marketing? How do I get people to click? How do I get people to sign up and become my downlines?

I've avoided affiliate marketing for the longest time because of the reasons you touched on in your post. I would never be able to find the right places to post, and if I thought I did, I would get banned from that website or blog. If I did find a place I could post, it was likely that 1,000 other people did too and I was flooded out by all the affiliate links How to get downlines in Affiliate Marketing?

One way that I know works, but I don't do it, is to build up a community and insert affiliate links into it over time. Of course this takes a while, but it could be worth it if done right. You need to focus on something you're passionate about besides affiliate marketing and then find an affiliate product in that niche. After that you should start up a blog and maybe a forum in which to entice people to come in and treat it like their own. The more inviting your community is, the more likely someone will sign up and come back time and time again.

After a few months or a year of building your community you will notice that people will pretty much buy whatever you post about lol. I have a friend who has a large dog breed forum and he will rotate out links to amazon products every month and label them as the "deal of the month" so people think they're saving money on the purchase. He will get an initial boost in sales right after the post and then he will see a drop, but it will never die out. If he didn't rotate his ads he would not make as much income.

Sorry I couldn't be more help, I just don't get into affiliate marketing much :'(

You have to gain first the trust of those who will see your affiliate link. Establish authority by making contents about affiliate marketing. So its better to have your own website where you are going to post your ideas about affiliate marketing. Educate your readers about affiliate marketing, what is all about, and most importantly point out the benefits they will enjoy. If you already earn as an affiliate marketer, you can show them proofs. You could also create tutorials on how to become an affiliate.

The problem is always posting only the affiliate link with nothing enticing or catchy to draw the attention of your friends or followers. Try and post them with description or you write a good review about the products and specifically stated it usefulness and why people should one to have it and post it along with the affiliate links.

Yeah! that's a good thing also to do. Making good reviews to the products entice people to make purchases. It will help also to attract people to click and sign up for your referral link.

I think having a friend or circle of the followers helps. You can get started with email marketing. And that's another way to get some down-line under you. Most of the people get the leads through that type of the marketing line. I have noticed that affiliate marketing requires a lot of efforts to get leads. So make sure that you are investing into platforms like email marketing and social media.

These options allow you to add some serious level of the downline. I think if you can join some of such forums, that would also help you get some discount in due process as well. I have noticed that affiliate marketing has it's some set of the rules so make sure you read them too.

Lucky are those freelancers who have very supportive friends. They can easily do their marketing right away because they need not worry much about the followers or the readers in case of a blog. Our friends in social media can be utilized for purposes of gathering people and it is one great advantage when your friends would be sharing your promotional posts. With the downlines you can hope that your friends will register and join you in your affiliate marketing.

I think the case with the friends is that they get you more connection. Though not all affiliate offers seems to be not much given. I have realized that affiliate marketing takes more traffic and getting people to your blog or pages on social media. It all requires some people. So on that note I'd say that affiliate marketing seems to be not that easy.

I have been doing affiliate marketing for a long time. I started promoting Amazon product from my Hubpages blogs, later I created blogs and websites and joined a number of affiliate networks. I even have an Amazon affiliate store. sadly, I have been unable to sell to many affiliate products. I have not tried this yet, however, affiliate marketing gurus say your affiliate sales will increase if you review the afiliate products. For example, you review a Canon camera and place amazon ads related to canon camera, it is very likely that the visitor who came to read the review will end up buying the camera.
Conversion rate will be better if you share the products that are related to your website. For example, there is no point in promoting camera products on a website on lingerie niche. In order to drive sales on your lingerie website. you need to promote lingerie products.

I agree that products need to be promoted on similar content niche. And this could be one way for the people to arrive in same place. It may not be easy. But something people can consider when it comes to affiliate marketing. Also the traffic has to be the buying one. Which is something not easy to do when it comes to content marketing as people hate links.

Promoting products on related niche increases the chances of sales, however this does not guarantee sales. I have a parenting blog, I promoted parenting related products through the blog posts. I did get traffic on the products, but there was no single sale. I have also tried to promote products by reviewing products, however, it is very difficult to generate sales. They say you need a PPC campaign to drive sales. This is something I have to try.

Parenting niche is a bit harder to promote into. Most of this niche is dominated by women. And they seem to be making millions in this niche. By sharing the genuine experience it works out for them. But it's hard to make money as a man in this niche. The reason being other men don't search much on those keywords.

Women have established authority on this niche, therefore, I focused on other side of this niche that is "fatherhood." When I got this idea, I searched online and found very few "Daddy Blogs" therefore I decided to try my hands.

I think they have not established it. It was a traditional role. So they kind of made it a routine. So they just blog about the routine. And it helps out in that context. So on that note you can see that the affiliate marketing for them in that niche is lot easier.

Getting down liners is dependent on your efforts to succeed as a beginner. If there are proofs that you're earning 7 figures as an affiliate marketer, I don't think many that are willing to go into the business of affiliate marketing won't want to identify with you.

Getting downlines in affiliate marketing is awesome. Your downlines are your referrals; the people you referred into the affiliate network. You can get tons of referrals simply by using the social media effectively. In addition to that, you can buy Facebook ads to pool in lots of referrals to the network. Using Google AdWords is an exceptional way to boost traffic to an affiliate network and, thus, to generate referrals in multiple folds.

Getting downlines can never be achieved in a single day, but on a consistent and gradual basis. You must first understand that making money online entails having a personal website optimized for search engine rankings. While trying to create a website, the most important thing about it is using a WordPress theme which helps your website get indexed fast in Google, Bing/Yahoo, and other search engines.

You don't get bothered about traffic or how your website generates downlines for you, but rather focus all attentions on building your brand consistently. Search engines love content and you would stand a chance of getting lots of traffic by writing quality contents regularly and consistently.

I am learning affiliate marketing and your comment is both encouraging and discouraging. Getting banned on a website when you post about your business is not a rarity and that’s the reason why you have to be discerning on where to post. But maybe there is a way to penetrate the websites that are good for posting promotional items and I am determined to find them so that I will have ways and means when I enter affiliate marketing.

You can do affiliate marketing in two ways, one join affiliate networks and start promoting affiliate products. Two, join affiliate networks and promote your own products. In think there is a better chance of making money with the second option. Promoting your own product with affiliate marketing is one of thye best marketing strategies because you pay only when the marketers generate sales.

Regarding how to entice people to sign up under you: learn to write persuasive copy and be helpful.

There is this one site that had a listing of freelance jobs. The blogger provided freelancers with something they needed - information about where they could get their next job.

At the bottom of each post, he also informed the writers that they could make more money as affiliate marketers. The link where they'd sign up if they were interested in learning more about affiliate marketing was provided. And he made a lot of money from this.

Try everything you learn everywhere, find the one that works best for you and refine it so it suits your particular needs and then use that strategy to convince people to help you sell anything you are promoting.
