How to cash in on micro niches that aren't targeted as much

A micro niche website is a site dedicated to a very small niche that doesn't get many searches each month.  A lot of experienced webmasters will target these types of niches because they can quickly, and easily, rank their websites on the first page of Google for their main keywords.  This means that they can get some revenue generated quicker than bigger authority websites they have, which is always a great thing since you don't have to constantly update the websites, due to it being a low competition niche How to cash in on micro niches that aren

Micro niche websites are great if you have the time to build them up and add plenty of content to them in order to bring in the traffic.  Sure, you won't need a massively high domain authority, or any other high metric, to boost your rankings to #1.  However, you will still need to treat these micro niche websites like they are your bread and butter, which means you will need to do everything you would as if they were your main revenue generating website.

In this discussion I'll be going over how you can cash in on micron niche websites in niches that aren't targeted too much.

Set up and optimize for the search engines
This is pretty obvious, since you'll be relying on search engine traffic to generate revenue, but you'd be amazed at how many people forget to do this lol.  You'll need to do your on page optimization as well as your off page optimization if you want to have a chance at the top of the rankings.  You don't have to do as much as if you were in a difficult niche, but you'll still need to do something to get on the radar of Google lol How to cash in on micro niches that aren

Optimize all of your pages, add plenty of content that is optimized, and do some off page optimization to boost your rankings and start getting some traffic from the search engines.  You'll get some sales after you start to rank, and that's always a beautiful thing How to cash in on micro niches that aren

Run some PPC campaigns on Facebook
If you're in a low competition niche, you likely won't have any competition in most PPC campaigns.  Most low competition niche websites won't invest into PPC because they simply don't make enough to do so.  If you put some money into these little websites, they can have a big boost in newsletter sign ups and sales How to cash in on micro niches that aren  You can quickly become the authority simply from a short PPC campaign, which is unheard of in more difficult niches lol.

Build up a small community on social networks
You can quickly build up small communities on platforms like Facebook and Instagram since your posts will be found easier and your PPC campaigns can be targeted to just build instead of send traffic to your website.  Communities or pages will be a great source of sales later on when you build it up, and you'll even notice people starting to invite others to join your group or community How to cash in on micro niches that aren

Sell your website on Flippa or through a broker
Micro niche websites won't make you a millionaire, but they can be sold for $5,000 or $10,000 a piece.  Think about it, if you're investing $100 a month into your PPC campaigns and paid $500 for content and another $300 for anything else you could possibly need, you'll have invested $2,000 after just 12 months.  If you're making $300 a month from the website, that's $1,600 profit for not doing much.  Now, micro niche websites can make $1,000 and sometimes $2,000 a month depending on how well you push it, which means you can invest $2,000 and sell it for $20,000 at the end of the year How to cash in on micro niches that aren

Selling a website depends on the buyers and if they're interested in your niche.  Most will see your profits and want to get on board simply to run the site and make money, but not everyone.  You'll also need to list it a couple times before it sells, this is because not everyone will see it on the first listing and that means the right buyer might not see it until the 3rd or 4th listing How to cash in on micro niches that aren

In conclusion
Micro niche websites were huge about 5 years ago but faded away when people started getting into authority websites that have a bigger pull from the search engines.  There are still plenty of people out there making money from micro niche websites, but there aren't as many people selling their methods, so you'll need to figure out a micro niche on your own most of the time.  You can hire someone to find the niche for you, but that means you're basically giving away your niche and keywords, and they person finding the niche could be watching you to see how easy it really is to rank and bank How to cash in on micro niches that aren

It is good to get some information on the mostly overlooked topic of micro niches. I think it is something that many people might have success with if they were to try it. I think it is one of the options that exist that aren't readily considered by everyone, and probably should be.

Selling on Flippa is one of the things that I am considering at the moment. I have a lot of blogs on various micro niches and I am trying to sell these blogs on flippa. A buyer even purchased my anxiety blog, however, when he did not send the payment, I filed a dispute and the transaction was cancelled.

Yeah, there are a lot of people out there that won't fulfill their end of the bargain and hope the website owner will still transfer everything over. Even though flippa is huge, they still deal with fraudulent payments just like any other business out there :'(

You are true about flippa. When the buyer committed to buy my blog, I paid success fee. However, the buyer did not send me payment. Thus, I filed a dispute. Flippa banned the buyer and returned my successful, even offered a free listing. I have a lot of domains and websites listed on flippa for sale, hopefully, I will be able to find a buyer someday.

I didn’t get the full idea of the small community on social media. What is there to build for the PPC campaign? My take on building communities in social media is to direct traffic to you site. At least that’s a sure way of getting traffic no matter how minimal. With the PPC campaign, it is like a hit or miss. Pardon me if my opinion does not sound practical to you but as I said, I am quite confused with the PPC campaign.

I've seen a couple of occasions where building small communities through social media has resulted in the owners being able to make a profit off of their community. I've been a part of several groups which were established as fan communities for niche topics and YouTube channels, and many times it had turned into a business opportunity for the owners. They'd have the chance to sell custom fan-made merchandise and often sold quite well. People were far more likely to buy a product if it was from a group leader than just some random person.

"..... People were far more likely to buy a product if it was from a group leader than just some random person...."

This is seen as one of the benefits of familiarity in business relationships. There is an already established and existing trust between the members of the community which makes it easier for them to easily patronize any services or products offered by any existing member in the platform.

I'd like to add that before venturing into this, you'd have to research adequately first on the niche that you would like to enter. Because it's a small community, people who are part of this will be much more knowledgeable about the subject compared to the average person, and you may get negative press if you try and rush into this micro niches.

I very much agree with you here, because without carrying out an extensive research on the niche which you are planning on starting up either a blog or forum on would leave you open to a lot of vulnerability that you failed to discover before venturing into it.

But with these research comes good knowledge on what you want to do and knowing the possibilities of such project being either a success or a failure.

By researching beforehand, you can immediately find out if it's worth even venturing into that niche or if it's oversaturated and won't be as profitable. If you find a niche that is good and open for new entries, then researching can help you understand how to succeed in that market which is already a big advantage compared to the others.

The benefits of research can never be said to have been overemphasized because it's very helpful in giving you the knowledge on how to stay ahead of anything that you are involved with, and especially when it's about getting into a new niche, the research would get you more equipped before taking a step to ensure your success.

Yeah, research is very important, be it for science or just for verifying news articles, and its role in business should always be stressed. Even larger companies allocate a huge budget for research.

I think micro niche sites have their own benefits and issues. Most of the micro niche site have issues considering they are being run for the conversion of the products and the ads. So in that case making community around it is the way to handle this. I have seen that in order for it to make even 1000 uSD. It takes a lot of time and patience. And one has to be really understanding on that part with the traffic.

Great article. I've never thought about a micro niche in these terms, but I think you're right. The theory in business has always been, to flow with the river because that means there is a ready market. This would be my concern in pursuing micro niche's. You may be able to rank top on the search engines, but will you be able to pull clients to visit your website? It may be a risk worth taking, I guess!

A micro niche is difficult to have because most of the niche that I can think of are common and it is already saturated. My understanding of a micro niche is a niche that is not popular and it is like a pioneering. Right now I cannot think of an example of a micro niche that maybe I would need the search engine to help me look for one. With just a few searches for the niche I think it is not easy to think of one.
