5 things you might not want to hear about online marketing companies

When you're starting out, you may need to outsource some work to a credible SEO company, but you may not know how things work because you're inexperienced in this field.  Don't worry, I'm here to write a little bit about the things you may not want to hear, but you need to in order to understand more things about this industry.

There are ways we SEO companies word our pages in order to make you think a certain way, which increases our own sales, and it's a pretty simple trick that's used across the world in every niche.  With some of the less than credible SEO companies, the ones that give us a bad name, you won't get much if you upgrade to their premium packages.  You're not always going to get 1 on 1 support, even if you're paying for "Premium Support", because most SEO companies don't have the manpower to do this 24/7.  You're usually spending more than you're comfortable with because we convince you that you'll do better with certain packages, which cost more, and that's why you'll sign up.

What you're reading was done in a way to entice you to purchase
Copywriting is a major thing when it comes to an SEO company.  We know how to write, what to write, and when to write certain trigger words in order to get you to think you want to purchase from us.  If we didn't know how to do this, we would never make a sale, because you could always get something better from one of our competitors.

The better a copywriter is the more profits that are rolling into a business because they're convincing more people to sign up.  Now, we usually have a great service that has been tested plenty of times, but we have to convince you to sign up with us in order to boost your rankings and increase your sales because a lot of other companies can do the same thing.

Premium content or services don't go far enough
A lot of the times you don't really need the premium service for your website when the basic one will get your ranked just fine.  I usually have small, medium, and large packages for anyone interested in hiring us, and they're all pretty different from one another because each is designed for specific niches.  The smaller is for new websites in easier niches, the medium one is for new websites in tougher niches or websites that are already established and in a difficult niche, and the large package is for a new or old website in a difficult niche.  We tend to tell everyone what they need because we want the best results for our clients, which keeps them coming back.  Other companies don't usually do this and they tend to recommend the medium to large packages to anyone that send in an inquiry.

You don't always get 1 on 1 support to help you through tough times
When you're working with an SEO company to boost your rankings, you don't always get 1 on 1 support because the company you're talking with doesn't always have the team in place to do this type of job.

Better SEO companies will hire VAs to manage the support system overnight or to help during the day, but not everyone can do this due to the costs associated with it, so you need to be sure you're getting 1 on 1 support before jumping into bed with a legitimate company to boost your rankings.

You're usually spending more than you want
SEO and online marketing companies don't become successful by settling for what you want.  They will convince you that you need the package just above what you were considering, and this means you will usually spend more than you're comfortable with.  Most SEO and marketing companies do this, so you will have to stand your ground and just tell them you will only pay a certain amount or you'll go to someone else, and the company will likely settle with you.

In conclusion
When you're going through SEO company websites, you'll likely be convinced to purchase, even if you didn't really think you needed the service performed on your website.  You need to be aware that the premium services and content doesn't always go as far as you would think, and this is because less than awesome companies will upsell you on services you don't need.  You're not always going to get the support you hope to because most online marketing companies don't have the right team members to do this.  And in the end, you'll usually spend more than you really feel comfortable with because the company will entice you into a bigger package that promises better results.

"Copywriting is a major thing when it comes to an SEO company."

It isn't just limited to SEO companies, either. I went to college for Graphic Design and Advertising, so I myself know a thing or two about advertisement. I don't have much experience in the field of copywriting, but I'm familiar with the general concepts of advertising and enticing potential clients into consuming your product or service.

Everyone wants to make their company seem like it's the best thing since sliced bread, so it's understandable that copywriting would be a major aspect for SEO companies. Heck, if I'm hiring someone from an SEO company, I'm expecting them to be as convincing as possible upfront, since that's what I'm looking for.

hahaha yeah 5 things you might not want to hear about online marketing companies That makes sense 5 things you might not want to hear about online marketing companies

You're right, copywriting is everywhere, it's even on the food we buy and stock our pantries with. The images alone are designed in a way to make the food look more enticing, so are the fonts and the way the wording is used or angled. Everything out there for sale usually has some sort of copywriting done to it in order to boost sales, because like you said, we all want to look like we're the best 5 things you might not want to hear about online marketing companies Or did I say that?

I guess SEO companies are overdoing it because they know that SEO is a growing industry and that they feel they are the only experts in town that what they say are Bible truth. Sometimes I feel sad that some SEO specialists are taking advantage of the situation because they are like preying on the ignorance of the public regarding SEO methods and even the meaning of SEO in general terms.

Well, one thing that I have come to learn and understand when dealing with any form of business, be it physical companies or online business companies in SEO is that any establishment looks forward to making profit and for that reason they are willing to lie and scheme to achieve their goals and objectives. Having known that for a long time now, it's in my best interest not to have too much expectancy on any arrangement I have with such companies because it's the only way I can survive being disappointed when they fall below what's expected.

A lot of companies will use a sort of loophole when they do any sort of schemey type marketing. They will always have disclaimers at the bottom of their commercials or on their products claiming that what the text or voice over actors are saying might not be great for you.

Take weight loss supplement commercials or the packaging the products come in. There's always a fitness model telling you how great something works, and they might be the same model on the packaging, but there will always be a disclaimer saying that "Results may vary from person to person". This is just a nice way of saying "This likely won't work for you, so don't sue us when it doesn't" lol 5 things you might not want to hear about online marketing companies

Getting a 1 and 1 suport from an online marketing company that you paid to is quite essential especially when we are talking of making things work pretty well. Just like you said, we should be sure that we are getting ourselves into that company that is already ready to assist us when the plans ain't working well again. Not most online marketing company can offer this because of the expenses involved in doing so.

True, whenever I'm looking to work with another company, I'll always gauge their expertise on how well their support system is set up. Take one of my websites, for example, I have my1-800 number on there, a contact us form, a live chat feature, and none of these are very expensive to have for the year. I pay $30 a month for the phone number with unlimited minutes that gets routed to my cell phone, I could pay $8 a month to have my live chat system without branding but I just use the free setup which works the same, and my contact form is generated with a free WordPress plugin lol 5 things you might not want to hear about online marketing companies

If a client has a problem contacting me, it's not because I don't have the right option for them, it's because they don't know what they're doing and likely don't have an internet connection. That's why it's so important to only work with companies that can work with a client 1 on 1 if they need it. You'll not only build a great business relationship, the client will appreciate you taking the time to help them out, and everyone wins in that situation 5 things you might not want to hear about online marketing companies I do understand that some companies get overburdened by an increase in traffic and sales then can't offer 1 on 1 support like a lot of other companies, but that just means they need to start scaling up their business to manage all the increases everywhere else.

I think this pretty much applies to any marketing company, not just the online ones, and such is the way of marketing and selling themselves for income. While there can really be dishonest companies out there, it's always best to research and check their background first and previous work before agreeing on a deal with them.

That's true, online marketing companies aren't the only ones that do some things that get you to sign up. There are plenty of hard marketing companies, ones that work with billboards and sporting stadiums, that can do all of the same things an online marketing company can do.

I guess marketing companies are hired based on how well they can sell other peoples stuff, right? lol 5 things you might not want to hear about online marketing companies I wouldn't want to work with a company I've never heard of, that isn't already doing the best work possible, and I might even look to see who my competitors are working with in order to get in the same spotlight as them 5 things you might not want to hear about online marketing companies

It's so interesting when you think about all the psychology that actually goes into posts that companies put up. Lots of little mind games and tricks that entice people to make purchases - it makes me think more about the times I've been drawn into buying something that perhaps wasn't necessary!

I've definitely gotten pulled into purchasing systems or software for my own websites solely based on the voice over actor or the text on the page I'm reading. I get entranced with all the words, want to buy because I'm not visualizing my success with this new product or service, then I will make the purchase if I don't snap out of it quick enough lol 5 things you might not want to hear about online marketing companies

Usually, I'll snap out of it because I always like to ask myself "Will this really help me?" or "Do I really need this to make money online" and the answer tends to be "No, you don't need this" lol 5 things you might not want to hear about online marketing companies

That's why there are Ad Agencies, to make good, appealing and sometimes hypnotic ads to wheel in customers and clients and buy their products and services.

I have never used services from SEO company or SEO expert. I do my own SEO. While I am not an expert, I am learning by doing. I prefer to invest in learning rather than paying for the service.
One of the best ways to find whether the SEO company is good or not is by checking their search engine ranking. If the company has been unable to rank itself on top search results, never buy from them.

When it comes to expense, I was very cautious when I had my retailing business. And although there was no internet yet at that time, I can relate to the marketing side now especially in hiring people to do the online marketing. But I guess my mind is too small to hire a company so maybe let’s just talk about a hired staff. For a premium service, that would be fine if it’s really that good. But if it is very expensive then I would settle for an average guy to do the work.

I don't mean to be biased but this is true especially for those companies that are new to the market. Some have cheap unrealistic packages but they miss the basics like good customer service. Its true that they have an aggressive sales strategy and are always cross selling you something.I'm sorry to say this is the reason most of them don't stay on the market for long and end up calling online marketing a scam.

Well, I think that this is the standard operating procedure for most of the companies when they know the vulnerabilities of there customers. Whenever you are doing anything for the first time you are likely to fall prey to such marketing techniques, where you are made to believe that you need to buy a particular package if you want to succeed in the business. After the person buys the package he realises that he has paid for something which was not required, but there is no going back on the decision
