Is your website banned from AdWords? Here's how you can get back on (sort of)

Many people get banned from AdWords and aren't sure why, and that's because Adwords has a lot of policies in place to prevent specific websites or methods from showing up on their ads, which is why you've likely been banned.  A lot of people in the SEO industry have been banned because they guaranteed results, and this is one thing that Google absolutely hates because they think you can't alter rankings and guarantee someone top rankings.  It doesn't matter if you're 100% legitimate and says "We guarantee rankings after prolonged search engine optimization and marketing" which is what legitimate companies do, but they can't say that.

Another reason you've likely been banned is if you're enticing people to sign up for an email like "Get our free ebook for subscribing!" or if you were to create a doorway page to just capture emails.  Adwords wants you to have a legitimate website, with all the right pages on it, as well as some blog posts so they can see you're legitimate.  If you don't have a contact phone number, privacy policy, refund policy, disclaimer, etc. you likely won't even get your ad approved.  If it does get approved and you don't have those things, you'll likely get your website suspended and it's difficult to come back from that.

In this discussion, I'll be going over a way to get your website back on AdWords, sort of Is your website banned from AdWords? Here

What you'll need to begin
First off, if you were banned from Adwords, your information was recorded and you can't set up a new account with your current hardware or information.  To play it safe, you will need to buy a cheap laptop and get a new internet connection, both should cost around $200 or $300 in total if you get a decent deal.  After you get those, you'll now need a new name and address to use on the account, which will also be linked to your internet connection as well as your laptop.

You could get tricky with this and use a dedicated IP address, scrub your computer clean, and falsify your name in order to get back on Adwords, but you'll get caught eventually so I recommend having someone help you out.  Give them 10% of your profits from your Adwords traffic sales, and they will likely help you out Is your website banned from AdWords? Here  I actually use my sisters information and got back on pretty easily, now she gets a check from me each month that includes my ad spend as well as 10% of my profits Is your website banned from AdWords? Here  After you have that, which is the difficult part, you need the rest which is listed below.

Set up a 3rd party website
When you have all of your financial systems in place, as well as own a new computer and connection, you will need to set up a brand new website.  This website will sell a few services, have all the required pages on it, and even have a legitimate 1-800 phone number on it by using grasshopper.com Is your website banned from AdWords? Blog on your new website for a week and generate some content before setting up your first campaign.  The more natural your website looks, the more likely it will get accepted and start running your ads Is your website banned from AdWords? Here

Register an account with MailChimp
When you are done with your website, you need to go over to MailChimp and set up a free account because this is where the true power comes into play.  You need to set up a basic email capture form for your newsletter, and that's it, because you can use a pop up plugin for WordPress or custom code one and add in your own text later which should read something like "Want to get updates from us that include discounts, tips and tricks, blog posts, and anything else that can help you?  Subscribe Today!" and you should be safe when Adwords does a manual review of your website.

Set up your automated emails
When you have your MailChimp set up, you will need to set up a welcome email as well as a few emails that will go out in order to bring people back in.  I like doing an email every 3 days so they don't feel like they're getting spammed.

Remember, people usually need 6 or more emails before they begin to make a purchasing decision, so schedule out 10+ emails and that should be enough for an entire month of automation.  You can do more, but you don't have to worry about those for a few weeks Is your website banned from AdWords? Have a popup subscription form
Like I mentioned above, you need a popup subscription form to show after a certain amount of time or when someone exits.  You should take your time on this because you want it to look nice, and you can even pay $20 to $50 for a plugin that will essentially do everything for you.  You will need an exit intent type of popup to increase your subscribers since that's where you capture the people who were on the fence in the first place Is your website banned from AdWords? Give away something for free
Now, you can't say "Want 10,000 FREE backlinks?  Subscriber today!" because you'll likely get banned on AdWords if they see this.  Instead, promote something like "Sign up for our free ebook" or "Here's a 15% off discount code just for you!" and they will usually sign up more to get a reduced price.

Yes, giving someone away for free is a touchy subject when it comes to AdWords, so be careful what you offer.  You're normally safe when you give away an ebook, but be sure you're not guaranteeing anything with the ebook and you should be fine.

Add links within your emails aimed at the banned website
If someone gets to your website, subscribes to your email, and then opens it they will now be seeing some links to your banned website which is more of a mother ship for you services Is your website banned from AdWords? Here  You can say something like "We see you liked (website here), but we think you should check out our main website here (Banned website here)!

You can make the email all fancy, but you might reduce clicks, so just use a basic template and make the links easily noticeable.

In conclusion
If you can do everything I talked about above, you will now have your banned website back on AdWords, just like me and I'm making more money now through the banned website than I did before because I have 6 months of automated emails going out to anyone that subscribes to me Is your website banned from AdWords? Here  I'm converting a lot of people, staying safe by always monitoring AdWords policies, not guaranteeing anything, and always thinking twice before I ever edit something once.  It took me a few weeks to tweak everything to perfection, but now I'm pushing affiliate links to people on AdWords by using my system, and now I'm making more money now than when I wasn't using AdWords Is your website banned from AdWords? Here  Sure, you could just set up a website and sell whatever you wanted with your new AdWords account, but you will never be able to push an affiliate link through it, and that's what this discussion is all about Is your website banned from AdWords? Brilliant article. What service do you use to send automated emails? I know only about Mailchimp/sendinblue ... but they are expensive
