    Both have pros and cons. For example - organic traffic is completely free but it takes time to get rankings and maintain them. It is time consuming. Moreover, big businesses would not like to rely completely on search engine traffic as the rankings can fluctuate. They want regular business and cannot afford to just be content with this unreliable form of traffic. As such, most businesses would spend lot of money in advertising. They may also do SEO for getting organic traffic, but do other things as well.

    Search engine traffic is organic traffic. Once you do SEO, traffic from search engine will continue to flow. paid traffic is the traffic you generate from search engine marketing or social media marketing (using paid services). paid marketing gives you a result pretty fast, however, organic traffic method is never dead.

    I think majority of us will choose the organic traffic for 2 reasons. First is the legitimacy of the traffic that you get. Second reason is the budget or cost that will be incurred when you buy traffic. But on the other hand, I have a writer friend who boasts that the traffic he bought resulted in bigger earnings (not sure if it is Adsense). But anyway, I will really go for the organic traffic as the saying goes, slowly but surely.
