    Link farms now?

    I've noticed what seems to be a trend, or I just now noticed it. Seeing many PBN sites that have a ton of back links in the sidebars. Just look so spammy, like, well, link farms. Wonder if these will get tagged and be less effective, or even harmful. Am I just seeing this?

    Seems it's getting harder to find good links these days.

    This is how bad it is. One seller was giving me a hard time for not liking their backlinks, because they had spammy link farms in the sidebars. I went to the first link and counted by hand, there was OVER 800 spammy links in the sidebar, one each page. Yes, that is 800, not a typo. Those are link farms and NOT good for SEO. They are negative SEO. Yet, they seem to be fooling so many people.

    I've gone through the PBN listings many times now, asked for samples and can't seem to find any good links any more. Every one I've seen is killing their sites with sidebar links. Selling their soul for a couple measly dollars. I wouldn't mind paying more for good links, but they don't seem to exist here any more. Sad state of affairs' here Link farms now?

    Then again, so many still telling people that Web 2.0, blog comments, profile links and more are good. They are not. Never have been. Saw some one selling guest book links, geez...

    First I will tell you sir, is your site niche related?
    Buy links from wherever you want, but keep one thing in mind
    Those links must be indexed in Google with proof of this

    Link farms now?
    Take the link and approve the order.

    Because links that are not indexed in Google have no value.

    Even if you pay thousands of dollars for links, if the links are not indexed in Google, if Google does not approve it, it is worthless.

    Domain Authority DA = 90

    But those links are not indexed in Google

    On the other hand, Domain Authority DA = 20,25,30

    Those links are indexed in Google

    And the link which is not indexed in Google has a value of 0

    Never buy links on those crappy PBN "farms". It's ALWAYS better to get even just 1 or 2 good quality links than 100's of spammy links on sites that will end up doing you more harm than good.

    Funny, I ask a question about spammy links and get all kinds of spammy replies. Should have known. Guess this is not the place to have a productive, no spam conversation.

    BINGO! I'm glad you mention it, as I noticed that as well.

    So many link sellers are desperate for sales that any question that even mentions links will always get bombarded with "I can do that! Pick me!!" types of responses.

    I used to sell links years ago when it mattered, but I never bought any...ever. I prefer to get website exposure by going to wherever my audience is already and simply interacting with them. It's natural, non-spammy and just works better than any kind of manipulation.

    Just like every time I leave a review for a service, I get spammed. It's a review, NOT an invitation to spam me with their services. Makes me think twice about leaving reviews, which only hurts good providers.
