What are the best ways to earn money with affiliate marketing?

I know its a wide open question and there are many ways to earn money with affiliate marketing. Some ways are better than others, some pay more than others, some are easier than others. But in your experience, what's the best way to earn money with affiliate marketing in todays ever changing fast paced market?

Should you find an affiliate offer first and then build your site and social media following around that offer. Or should you build your site/social media up first and then find an affiliate offer that is right for whatever your site is about? What is the best way around it?

For successful affiliate marketing from my own experience, first thing you have to do is to build your large audience who will trust you and your words, because public is spammed and scammed every day with so many useless information. Once you have your trustworthy audience like Twitter followers, Facebook followers and other social media users, then i guess next step is choosing best affiliate products or affiliate programs where you feel you can succeed as affiliate seller. Then after, build your website, regarding the needs for that affiliate sales. That way you can optimize your website from beginning in the right directions regarding your affiliate products for sale. In other case you would need to do much rework and reconstruction to gain what you really need with your website / affiliate store.

It is easy to find an affiliate offer in today’s market. The hard thing is getting people to sign up and buy the products. Therefore, the first thing you should do is build your website and generate lots of traffic. Alternatively, you can create a social media account and get lots of followers. Make sure that your website or social media account is related to your product as that will mean that they are more likely to sign up. The key is to get quality traffic; if you are using a website, make sure you do lots of SEO work. If you are using social media, make sure you target the right audience.

Hi thanks for very good question. I have no much experience about this sector and still I am not noticeable successful affiliates yet but I have few successes and experience and we know affiliate marketing one of the best way to make money online who want to get income by their website. An affiliate marketer promotes specific products or websites in exchange for a cut of the profits or commissions from the web traffic generates. So, here connection with website and traffic for getting commission by affiliate and I saw people are working so many ways for getting affiliate sale by driving valuable traffic. I used affiliate Champaign specially by social promotion and solo advertisement. If you have some trustful audience on several pages like twitter, facebook etc you will get good response. And solo ad may another best way to get targeted audience who really wants that specific product. I have some success this ways. And another way should be SEO for your website. There has lot of learning or plan.

I am an affiliate marketer and I have an affiliate store where I do affiliate marketing for Amazon, Commission Junction and LinkShare. Since my website is on lingerie niche, I only share products on this list. Apart from products, I also have many articles on the website. I use these articles to promote my products. I get decent number of views on my website. The only problem is with conversion. I get ad clicks but the sales account for so small figure that it is barely enough to maintain
my website. I am using social media, but my sales are not improving.

I think building a blog and adding the affiliate links into the post is a good option. I have learned that affiliate marketing requires a lot of traffic. And you have to get some landing page on which you can land the traffic. So depending on that context, I suggest you to focus on the affiliate marketing options. I have yet to figure out the marketing options. But this can be good enough in that case. I think shareasale has a lot of good programs. And those programs convert well too.

I have created one website for the sole purpose of doing affiliate marketing. On this website, I have pages in different categories where I have listed products from amazon, commission junction and linkshare. I also have a blog category on this website and there are 25 blog posts. However, this website is not earning me much. I have a blog and when I am publishing a new post I look for relevant products on my affiliate networks and share that product on the blog post. This has a better conversion rate.

I think lack of earning refers to lack of people on site which wants to buy. That is something missing in that case. I guess we have to find the sources which can bring the traffic. Then things would be better in that case. Because traffic which does not buy from this page is not much worth it. That is what I have learned.

That's true. Lack of earning means lack of buyers on the site. First of all, I need to bring traffic. Secondly, the traffic should not consist of general people, but people who are interested in the product. Having a general traffic does not work, you need the traffic that actually converts. On my affiliate marketing blog, I get around 200 visitors every day. If this number had too many people who are actually interested in my products, I would be earning better. But this is not happening.

Yes that's one reason I think Facebook PPC and Adwords PPC traffic is in demand. It only bring quality traffic. Most of the PTC, Traffic surf and follow for follow type traffic is bad. And it does not earn us any good money. So it's definitely something people have to consider for the serious affiliate marketing.

I have tried facebook PPC for my Amazon book. However, I did not get good returns, perhaps that's because I did not target my ad to the people who could actually have bought my book. I have never tried Adwords, but I am thinking to use Adword PPC one of these days. I am even considering using Amazon PPC campaign for my Amazon book.

Facebook PPC for amazon book may be hit and miss. But if you have shopify store and you want FB traffic. Then that surely works. You can also get good sales if you have properly promoted the pages. It takes time though. But it is definitely doable and requires some level of effort on other things.

I have not tried shopify because it cost a lot of money and I am not sure whether I can recover my investment. I am doing affiliate marketing on my wordpress blogs and wordpress ecommerce sites. Blogs, in general, are going good, but my ecommerce sites are not doing great, infact, they have not given me a good returns. many people have suggested me to try shopify, and I have been dilly-dallying because of price issue. I will have to look into this option.

Yes that's the thing about dropshipping it costs you money. Whether you start dropshipping with shopify. Or you try the dropshipping with the wordpress and woocommerce. The thing is same with the results. That's the thing about them they cost more than the affiliate marketing. Shopify has 29$ per month means around 360$ per year with taxes.

If I am using shopify, I need to pay $29 every month, with that money I can have a website with cloud hosting. However, I hear that shopify will return your investment just in few months, which is quite impossible if you work with a wordpress ecommerce website, or a website using other ecommerce CMS.

Yes but dropshipping automation is not possible with the wordpress. You can see thaat you can use woocommerce and other plugins. But searching products and automating is harder. So that being said, affiliate marketing does require some level of efforts as well.

The best bet has always being to set up and get your followers before joining an affiliate program to know what to promote. You can't promote clothes for women, when you don't know if your followers will be mostly boys and men.It better one looks at his or her followers and then tries to promote products that suit them to aim success anything out of this might spell total failure.

You should always have a niche. Promoting affiliate products on a certain niche, a niche that matches your website/blog, gives better sales than promoting random affiliate products. Your affiliate products should always be in the niche of the content you produce on your website. It is easy to convince your readers to buy products if they are in line with the niche. Yes, there is no point in promoting your products that are no interest for your readers.

I am not into affiliate marketing yet but I have plans. My take on that undertaking is to build up your network and establish your presence in social media. Especially if you have a long term plan of a year or longer before you indulge in affiliate marketing, it would be to your advantage because the people in your network will not brand you as spamming. How can a friend or loyal follower spam me? That would be their mentality.
