    Is there any specific reason why Google is the Worlds largest search engine?

    Why not Yahoo or Bing?

    What makes Google "differentiate" itself from the competition?

    Google revolutionized search, that is why. When google started, the other search engines available couldn't even find theirselves when searching by their own name.

    when you do a search on google you will get the most relevent results for your query.the other search engines have to improve on that

    I believe this is the most outstanding Google importance and the most relevant reason why Google is rated higher than other search engines.it brings out the appropriate result that connotes what one is looking for and helps one get useful information through automatically correcting some spellings and statement to give one a befitting result.

    Must admit when i have looked at the stats on a certain search term Google returns more relevant results than Bing or Yahoo.

    From what I remember, Google got popular because of the algorithm it was using that makes it the fastest search engine in the west, so to speak. After a year in existence, Google was already number not only because of its quick search but also the format of the search list which was very convenient to the user. In fact, I was using another search engine and I shifted to Google the moment I go to test it because it looked convenient to me. Until now that search list is improving so I don’t think the competitors are inching closer.

    Google is the most popular search engine amongst others, one can get to see the different format of files on Google,it loads files very fast and brings out the best result from all the keyword searches.Some information on Google is not on other search engines and it has become man's favorite search engine and it very useful too

    I heard or read that the Google search engine was so popular they tried to file a lawsuit against the company to say that they were "hogging the market". Google defense was "Don't blame us if people CHOOSE our search engine over others. We're not telling them or making them use our search engine." And that's true. I have tried to use the other search engines. In the end, I came back to Google because the results are usually always just what I was searching for. Google didn't make me use their search engine. The other search engines made me not want to use theirs and use the Google search engine instead.
