    Did Google's algorthims ever produce false positives?

    Were you ever confronted with the situation where Google's algorithms wrongly identified legitimate (non-spammy) backlinks as being spam and asked you to remove them or risk your search engine placement?

    This hasn't happened to me so far. I wonder why Google would mis-identify legitimate links as being spam related. If that is happening to one then it could happen to all.
