What are the 3 most important aspects of SEO?

There are so many different things that go into ranking a website, but let's pretend that there are some people that for whatever reason can only concentrate on 3 main things when it comes to SEO.

What would you advise someone to do if they could only focus on 3 things?

  1. HIGH QUALITY CONTENT - This is hands down the most important SEO factor. This is the starting point of SEO and without quality content nothing will help your site rank. All SEO efforts can only back up what is already there.
  2. PROPER OPTIMIZATION OF CONTENT (INCLUDING KEYWORD RESEARCH) - Yes quality content is essential to SEO but knowing which keywords to target and how to optimize your content using those keywords can make a huge difference in ranking and traffic.
  3. USER EXPERIENCE - If you have great content but your website looks awful, it is slow to load and your readers can't easily navigate around your website you will lose those readers very easily.

  1. Keyword research and long term content planning and goals

For me, it is always the content that is the king so the focus should be on high quality content all the time. Uploading fresh content is like telling the search engine that the website is highly qualified to be considered for inclusion in the search list. And when the content is good, it will indeed be on the search list and probably on page 1 and in a good position too. Good content means unique and not copied from another website in part or in full and with no grammatical errors and spelling mistakes. Not to forget, it should be directly related to the niche of the website.
