SEO Hack - get keyword ideas from internal searches on your website

You should have a search button on your website so users can search your website for specific things.

This is a great way to find ideas for new content since this will tell you what the people on your website are looking for.

Some websites will automatically track the internal search data for you, but if your website doesn't you can install a plugin that will monitor this for you.

Not only will using this method help you to keep your readers happy and search engines, but it will also help you to come up with ne and fresh content ideas on a regular basis!

Yes totally. I mean you will see what people are already looking for on your website Hopefully your readers are already mostly finding the content that they want but there will be plenty of gaps that you can fill.

It's a cool feature, I think it's rather a tool from a User Experience Optimization point of view because once you will be tracking your internal search you will find a lot of problems with your websites, like people unable to navigate through certain parts of your website's structure.

As far as content goes, sure it will help you figure out what subjects are really popular with your users and also what subjects are you missing but you users are searching for. This is actually also a great way to figure out what type of products clients want on online stores.

Oh yes Cristian, for sure. When I had my online baby store I got lots of ideas for new products to launch! In fact I went so far as to start a wholesale store based on what my customers wanted and this then became my main line of business.

I think this is a nice trick when you happened to hit the wall, so to speak. It is common for bloggers to experience writer’s block that they couldn’t think of anything to write about. Checking for the keywords in your own site may give you more ideas to write further on those keywords. I haven’t done that yet but maybe I will remember that when I would be blogging again.

I'd say it's a great move. Rather than researching keywords, it's more about understanding what your visitors are looking for. You can use this hack as a way to expand your traffic, add new pages, or better satisfy your customers.
