Is quality really more important than quantity?

This is a one million dollar question, and I would like to discuss it in the context of SEO and digital marketing. In my opinion many tend to look at their online marketing campaigns merely as being like a checklist. Basically they seem to focus more on the fact that they saw to each and every point on their list, rather than emphasizing more on the quality of the elements that they are checking off the list. However, quality is more important than quantity and we all need to start focusing on the quality of what we do. This includes the overall strategy, the content creation, and every other aspect we see to.

For instance, what is the use of spending time and money on creating many infographics, if they are not of such a good quality and do not manage to entice anyone to read through them and understand their message? The point is that whatever type of marketing campaign we embark on, we need to make sure that it is a high quality one, in that it truly addresses what people are looking to find.

And in reality even the search engines focus on this. They do take into account the user experience, and the quality of it all. Do you agree?

I do agree. The thing is, that lots of people are looking at this with blurry eyes. The same goes for people who's buying backlinks or followers of any kind. They go by quantity instead of quality. Most likely because it's cheaper and it "looks good". I would always rather have 1 good and decent affiliate, backlink or whatever we talk about, instead of hundreds of fake or bad ones. The same goes for website content, articles or even physical things like houses or cars. Why choose 5 cars instead of 1 outstanding car? You can't handle all the cars at the same time no matter how much you try.. You get the point.

When it comes to business, for me personally, I'd rather get 1 sale worth $10 instead of 10 sales for $1 each. We are all different which means that some might see this in a different perspective, but in reality.. We all know what's best.

This is a good question. I think the answer depends on the situation. For example, can you say one PR8 backlink is better than 10 PR5 backlinks? Well, not really, it is hard to compare the two so we cannot say for certain that one is better than another in this case. However, 10 PR8 backlink is definitely better than 1000 low quality and spammy backlinks. With marketing, it depends on what your website is as well. If you run an online shop, then since conversion rates matters a lot to you, then quality of traffic is very important. However, if you are selling private ads slots as your main source of revenue, then quantity will do much more than quality given buyers know nothing about quality of traffic. However, as a general rule of thumb, I will say quality is more important than quantity in most situations.

To be honest, generally people prefer quantity over quality because quality is hard to measure but quantity can be easily measured by a number.

Hi excellent question by EliteWriter. This is really million-dollar question ever. And very difficult to answer what is the more important. However, here has several agree and disagree elements. Some could like quality some many prefer quantity. Truly it is depending on demand of wanting of issues. And it's depending on what are you taking and wondering. For example: If I am baking a cake, I might rather have one good cake then twelve so-so cupcakes. On the opposite hand, if I organize any game and if there has paid ticket system with same worth, I must expect quantity. I do not care who come. Another example: If I very hungry I must need to eat a lot of food rather food quality. So, it's depending on fully scenario. sometimes quality is a lot of importance then amount.

If scenario come back for make decision for SEO and here I ought to select quality service more than quantity. Because, a lot of quality backlink ought to effective for SEO then mass backlink. If I select mass backlink for SEO without considering quality, here I will loser, if I select quantity.
Finally, I would wish to say, it's fully relying on scenario.

In my opinion, you need quality as well as quantity. let me explain this. Having a dozen medium quality articles on your blog is more beneficial than having one high-quality article. You need enough contents to pull traffic as well as gain trust from search engines. You need quality backlinks, however, you also need quantity. More backlinks mean better chances of search engine ranking.
