    Same SEO applies for Bing or Google. Meaning, good on-pages optimization, lots of backlinks and unique quality content.

    You are right that the SEO work that you do on your site will apply to all the search engines that includes not only Google but also Yahoo and Bing. Regarding the importance between content and backlinks I guess you have to give the first consideration to the content because without new contents your site will not be checked by the search engine crawlers which means even if you have quality links out there then that will be useless since they are not considered due to lack of new contents.

    Search engine optimization for Bing is not very different from search engine optimization for Google. In order to get a top rank in any search engines, various factors are involved, you cannot reach the top with just one SEO stratregy. For instance you have quality content but does not have focus keywords and backlinks, it will be quite difficult to reach the top. Likewise, you might have backlinks however, your content is poorly written or your website does not contain enough content, you might not get a good rank.     I agree that what is good for Google is also good for the other search engines. And maybe you are right that you have to do several SEO methods in order to get a high ranking in Google and in other search engines. My first step would be the uploading of fresh contents that is relevant to the niche and well written. Of course, the content should be unique to mean it has not been copied from another website. With that, the increase in ranking had started.

    Some of my top ranked articles (that appear in first to fight position on good for given keywords were written long before I actually knew how to do seo. The only reason why these articles are ranked high is because the topic is unique and not covered extensively online. One basic rule that many people do not care in order to rank high is producing content on a topic that has high search volume yet not good contents.
