Social Bump - The new way to Bump your services

Editing your service will no longer bump your service to the front page. Instead, we've devised a new method that will promote the entire community. It is called Social Bump. The idea is simple, you promote someone else's service on a social network and your service gets bumped back to the front.

How to Social Bump
Enter into your service sales page and click the "Bump your Service" link in the top right.

Social Bump - The new way to Bump your services

Rules and Changes
You can bump your service once per day but you can't use the same social network more than once in a three day period. You are forced to use alternate social networks if you wish to bump your services every day. Manual bumping (bumping without sharing) is now restricted to once every 21 days. Anyone can bump any service.

For more details, rules and regulations, click the "Bump your Service" link.

Great feature, but in my opinion you need to lower bumping without sharing to once every 7 days.

I think 21 days is good, tbh. Lowering that and people will always use it instead. It isn't hard to setup an account on each of these four social sites.

I don't agree, even if you lowered bumping without sharing to once every 7 days, sellers would still use social networks to bump their services because they will have the ability to bump their service five times per week instead of once per week if they used the bumping without sharing method only.

My two cents

I don't like this new feature. Please reverse or change the 21 days limit to at least 14 days of the manual bump.

You should start affiliate sales by social bump.
To be honest, i share the post on facebook, verify it, get my service bumped and the very next moment i delete the post.
So, i got my service bumped without promoting your site to my friends. ;)

What would be a better idea is, if you give us 10% of sales generated through our link. If this is applied, i would share as many as possible posts and earn too.
This will be win-win sitaution as you get the promotion + new members + sales and we get our commission.

Thanks
Vaibhav

First of all, that is lame as hell of you. You should have the ability to bump removed from your account.

Secondly, most of the links already have your affiliate link. Just look at the social bump page description...

True.. But again if they click our link and refresh it automatically gone rite ? ( the affiliate links )

Nope. The affiliate link is stripped off but the user gets a cookie embedded which makes them belong to you.

We get "invalid bump 1" on facebook - I even shared it 5 times on FB and got "Invalid bump 1". Works on other social networks

Hy.

I just notice that I must to wait 30 minutes before each bump, I got 10 services this mean that I must wait 5 h to be able to bump all of them.

I don't have the time stay 5h to watch the clock to wait to be able to bum another service.

Second I bump my services based on a time period when I notice that I get more sales with this new rule I'm losing clients since I'm not there when they are online.

I offer more services in the same category by having all displayed one after another I get more exposure and so I get more chances to make a sale with this new 30 minutes rule you take this away. And I'm talking about services offering different things...

More than that I notice that the fb bump is not working.. I share it and when I hit "verify" it says that the bump is invalid.

While it is a pain for sellers like me, I actually think the new rule of waiting 30 minutes improves SEOClerks for all, especially new sellers. Seeing two pages of the same seller who created the same service 80 times changing one number in the amount they delivered looked like ass. I'm sure new buyers saw that and were turned off too.

New sellers who create new services now have a chance to display on the front page without getting bumped by "Rara" selling "5 twitter followers", "10 twitter followers", "15 twitter followers", and so on for 2 pages.

Looks like a new note on Facebook too - it only works once.

Ok, I deliver blog comments... from 10k to 40k and above.. how do you suggest that I must offer my services?

I can add only 3 extra to a service.

Many don't understand or know what extra means... I'm sure of that because even if it's cheaper to order extra than order a bigger service people still like to order the service where I deliver more links....

I know that I'm the only one complaining about this but it will be nice to see an official position on this matter...

After this new rule was inserted my sales drop with 60-70%

Seriously.. All kinds of new features will always be a "double edged" sword somehow, for someone, at that time.
This feature allows people to bump their services back to the first page. Which is awesome right? Everyone agrees.
The "problem" sellers has with this bumping feature is that they can't bump their services right off the bat. People has to wait for 30 minutes and also, has to use different kind of social networks like facebook, linkedin & twitter.

As someone already stated, it's easy to setup these accounts so you can use it to bump your services.
Someone else said "I don't have time to wait for my next bump" ... And sure, I understand you. Most of us do..
But how could a new seller ever have a "real chance" of getting sales, if these services always is displayed on page 5,6-7 and so on? Yes, new sellers could also use the bump service, but as you stated yourself. You have 10 services and want to bump them all.. a new seller, (this is my own opinion and my own thoughts) a new seller doesn't have 10 services.
They have 1,2,3 and maybe 4 or even 5.. At the most? Or am I wrong?
So, already as a new seller, without the same knowledge as many of the topsellers it's hard to get sales, since a new seller can't offer the same services like others do. And a new seller doesn't have any positive ratings, which means that buyers doesn't "prefer" to purchase from that person, since buyers loves "POSITIVE Reviews.. If the topsellers use the bump feature on all their services, a new seller will be seen on the first page for about 5 minutes or so, before they went straight back to page 4 with that specific service.

And about the "I dont have the time sit around waiting for my next bump, 30 minutes are too long waiting time"...
If you try to see it from another perspectiv, instead of your own. Since you'll always talk from "your side of the table"..
You argue against this, because you are loosing money. But how could a new seller be able to make some money if all the topsellers always shows up on the first 4 pages, right after each other, 24/7?

It's about how much money your making, we understand that.. ALL of us wants to make $$$$$..
But you can't earn $$$$ without putting your effort in to your business.

Have you ever seen a shop on the street, closed, with customers in it leaving money on the table for the shopowner?
-No, you haven't. Because people can't purchase things when the shops are closed. With that being said, I just want to make clear, that each and everyone, has to to the necessary work for becoming a seller with lots of orders. And that means they have to take the time they can, to make it work for them.

Work hard and you're on the right path to making your own success.
Stop working and you'll end up with nothing in your pockets.

Just a note:
I'm a level 1 seller without sales, but, I don't argue with someone about it. It's my own work that will get me the orders I want. The "tricky" part, is to MAKE it work the way I want it to.

Another note:
Shame on you for deleting your "bump post" as soon as you've bumped your service!
That's what I would call: Cheating.

Keep up the fantastic work Jordan!

Best regards,
hitmeasap

An old seller can create as much service as he want
A new seller can create as much service as he want
As for this we have the same rights.... Right?

An old seller can as many services as he want as quick as he want
A new seller can as many services as he want as quick as he want
As for this we have the same rights.... Right?

A new seller and an old one have the same access to information....Right?

Is true that a new seller does not have the rating of an old one but this is normal... he can always outrank an old seller offering and delivering a better products.... I don't think having a good reputation is an advantage that must be eliminated....

I said that I don't have time so spend on bumping services... yes.. is true... I don't have time because instead of watching the clock every 30 min and come back and bump a service I prefer to work on the orders that I already have and also working on finding better lists and how to improve my services.....

You talk about a real shop.... Now I ask you a question did you ever see a jewelry store open form 12 PM to 5 AM? The answer is no or maybe a very few... and that because at that hour no customer will come....
The same here... I spend weeks testing when is the best time frame for me to bump my services, in witch time frame I get more orders.... And once I establish that I see myself in the position that in that time frame I can't bump all my services.

I don't thing the main reason why this rule was added is to help new sellers.. the main reason was to increase the exposure of seoclerks....
Having 10 post about seoclerks posted one after each other on your wall bring a lower exposure than having 10 posts on your wall posted every 30 min.... The second way the advertising is in the front line for like 5h instead of 20-30 min.

Thank you

I do agree with you on some of the points you mentioned. But I still believe that a new seller has to work more and harder to "outrank" an old seller as you mentioned. Mainly because of the postive ratings.

If you where walking down the street, and at one point you see two stores. Both stores provides the EXACT products but in front of one of the stores, there's a large crowd with 100 customers outside waiting to go in, and in front of the other one, there's no one at all. Which one would you enter?

Another scenario is the same, but the other store without any customers outside waiting, offers a Discount on any of their products, which still is the EXACT products as the other store. Which store would you visit?

Most people would lineup in front of the store with hundreds of other people, because there's a "hype" about that store. The "key" is other customers (Positive Reviews). If you have 0 customers you'll end up with more work for gaining people's trust. Right?

Both new and old sellers has the same rights as you mentioned. Both could create the same amount of services and provide the same kind of services. They could of course also bump their services exactly as many time as everyone else.. But, do you honestly believe that a new seller, which are new to these kind of marketplace could offer buyers the same services as a toprated seller does? Or even "outrank" that seller by providing more followers/likes or better quality work and such? I doubt it. The competition is to hard for new sellers to be able to do this, IF the "bump service" could be used anytime on any services you may have. That's why I think that this feature is awesome. At least for now.

I do agree with you about the "SEOClerks exposure" thing. And that's what ALL sellers should be looking for. More exposure for SEOClerks equals in MORE buyers & sellers, which will equal in MORE SALES for sellers.

I give you credits for taking your business seriously and trying to find out the best time frame for bumping your services, that's great! But you can still bump ONE service every 30 minutes, which shouldn't "interfere" the time frame too much.

I had no intention at all, to try and neglect you or anyone else. Neither you as a person or your services.
I encourage you all to keep doing your best and deliver awesome work and get money for doing things you love.
Both this and my first reply within this thread, was nothing more than my own opinions. I'm sorry if I got any of you annoyed or angry because of my own thoughts. I look at this feature with my own eyes and I find this feature very useful and fair for both new and old sellers. (Even though this might not have been the main reason for the feature to be available.)

Best regards,
hitmeasap

All valid points by both of you guys but just like a month ago you could only bump a service every 7 days. I'd say being able to bump a service daily is a great step forward, no?

I also agree with your point.
bumping service on each 30min. is really bad decision taken by seoclerks.

How is it bad? The only people that dislike it are sellers who have multiple services.
