What's the best way to announce change of ownership with a forum? Also, how do you prepare forum members for the new management (which might include different admins/mods too or other changes on site)?
Don't hide the truth from your forum members. If you are leaving for personal or family reasons, then say so. Though you don't have to reveal all details. Your forum members will appreciate your honesty. That will make the transition to new forum ownership much easier.
