    How often should you update your forum for SEO?

    Is it relevant that a forum is updated daily with new content? Or, like a blog, can it be updated a few times a week and still rank well in Google?

    Obviously, you should have as many new forum posts daily, even if you have to hire someone to make the posts. That's just common sense as the more active a forum looks, the more likely you will get new members to join. An inactive forum usually just dies.

    A forum thrives on new posts. Even twenty new posts a day is better than none. Though it's more ideal when you have many users coming by and posting dozens of new discussions/responses daily in various subforums.

    Blogs and other websites are updated with articles. But updates on the forums are the posts. So if your community is active and there are new threads and comments every day, there is no need for concern on the updating of contents because it’s already that. But if your forum is stagnant and you still vie for a good position in the search engine list then you probably have to create the new threads yourself and do some commenting on existing threads for your new contents requirements.
