    How long does it take to write a forum post or thread?

    For a forum response it can take me up to a minute or more to write a short response. And, much more time for a more detailed response. But for a forum thread, it takes up to five minutes to create each thread as I do research and read a lot to get ideas for new discussions.

    How long does it take you to create a new forum thread or response?

    It depends how much I know about the subject. If I know a lot about it, I can do it in not that much time. But if I have to do some research, then it will take me a bit longer.

    Sometimes, I've spent up to half an hour writing a lengthy response on a forum. But on average, it takes about two minutes to post a response. That's not including the time it takes to read the actual forum post

    It depends on the topic. For a comment about a topic that I am well-versed in, it is a breeze, maybe a minute or 2 minutes that includes the typing. But for some topics that are difficult, sometimes more than 5 minutes is not even enough unless I am willing to ruin my reputation for posting something that has no substance. And in creating a thread, I have a list already and had done a research so it is normally faster than commenting on a post.
