    How much money do you earn monthly from your forum? And, do the expenses outweigh the profit?

    Currently, I earn more from Adsense and ad sales off Hubs and blog posts than I do for my forum. Not sure I will leave the forum open much longer, though not sure what to do with it.

    I had a forum on FEMA. I had to close it because my expenditure were higher than profits Earning money from your forum. I guess it was due to inactive forum member, I struggled to keep running it.

    My forum is about general chat. And, we have so many forum posts and even new posts daily. Just my interests lie elsewhere now and I'm more focused on niche subjects and even work. It would be nice if I could find a way to use my forum to promote my current gigs and get more clients that way.

    I only get money from my website when people buy premium membership or buy some resources. But other then that, I don't have any income from my website at the moment.

    I don't have a forum, but I believe earning opportunities on a forum is unlimited. You can not only earn from network ads but also from affiliate products. You can also earn by selling your own products and services. If you have a lot of members, letting them sell their products and services and cutting commission from the sales is also a good way to earn from a forum.

    I think Adsense is the most popular way of earning from a forum. However, I know that Adsense sharing of revenue is not that substantial. Some forums are not even earning money and from one post that I had read, you need around 500 posts in a day to reach the break-even point of your expenses vis-à-vis the payment from Adsense. Well, I believe that the number of posts would depend on the length and quality of contents.
