    Asking for feedback/suggestions

    Do you ask for feedback and suggestions on your forum from current forum members? What are the advantages/disadvantages of doing this?

    I have a feedback and suggestions forum on mine, and yeah I think its an important part of it, it is a big advantage knowing what your members think of your community and this information and be put to good use. I don't see a bad side to having one. Asking for feedback/suggestions

    Your forum members are the heart of your community and their opinions should matter as they are the ones using the forum most often. It's a good idea to have a Suggestions and Feedback forum or at least start threads regularly asking for their input into situations such as forum upgrades, etc.

    Almost every forum has a feedback section. It's very rare to find a forum that does not have one.

    There are many forums with a feedback board for suggestions. But it is very seldom that I read a new post there. If that is the case, I think the forum is doing good with the design and the operation. A feedback and suggestion board is one good way of showing the members that you are concerned with their opinion. I myself would sometimes post a suggestion when I think it is important. There is one forum that sends emails once in a while asking for suggestions about his forum. What can you say about that? Connecting to members by email just to touch base is appreciated.
