    Do you use the same forum avatar every time?

    Do you use the same forum avatar on your own forum as you do when you are backlinking or posting on other forums? Do you find it to be useful to do so?

    I like to keep things interesting and will often choose a forum avatar that fits more with the type of forum where I'm posting. So for instance, if I'm on a sci fi forum, I might use a Star Trek related avatar. On a webmaster forum, I'd go with a personal photo as that seems to be acceptable. Then again, maybe I will just choose one from the forum database.

    I have not used the same avatar. Some sites I do not even upload one which I am sure is not really a good idea.

    On almost all the forums in the webmaster and SEO niche where I have posted, I use this particular avatar as it brands my image in the mind of potential customers and they begin to recognize me (and my work) where ever I go. All these posts represent my body of work and provide a good example for an interested webmaster. So when they find me on SEOClerks, they are already familiar with my work quality. Using the same avatar on forums as SEOClerks has resulted in more work and money over time.

    There was a time when I used to use the same avatar on various websites, forums and blogs, and I practised this strictly. I saw many benefits of using the same profile photo, people would recognize you easily, you could establish your brand as a writer or the internet marketer.
    However, these days I try to use the same profile photo, but I don't practice this strictly.

    I have only 1 avatar for my uniform picture. But there was a time that I joined a forum using my phone and I had no avatar there so I used another photo for my avatar. But aside from that, I have no other avatar – only 2 pictures as of now.
