    Thinking about starting a forum

    Right now, I'm thinking about starting a forum about mishaps and odd events, such as natural/manmade disasters. I think there would be enough content for this type of forum but not sure if anyone would post there, unless they are interested in the same thing. Are you thinking about starting a forum? If yes, then what would it be about?

    I think that you can find the content that you need. I would have to say that as long as you are dedicated to it you can make it work.

    I don't have a forum but I think that a gaming site would be cool but there are quite a few of them out there.

    A forum about unique skin conditions would be interesting to start. I've suffered from severe acne over the years and maybe others would be interested in sharing their experiences on an acne related forum.

    That’s a pretty unique niche you are planning with your forum. And I think you are right with your apprehension that there might not be enough posters for a decent activity. But I think any niche will do as long as you have the passion to do what needs to be done. Marketing your forum is not easy but if you have the perseverance then it will sell and you will get members to post. Another tip for preparation is to have a compilation of all topics that you can post so you can maintain the activity on the boards even by yourself alone.
