    Have you ever lost a forum you really loved?

    One of my best friends online owned a Doctor Who forum and we all really loved it. This forum was so amazing. We had the best conversations there. And, though the forum had numerous misfortunes such as the databases being wiped out several times, we always started over, for about a year. Eventually, she became discouraged and shut down the forum. That was a very sad day for me as it was like losing a forum family.

    About the same thing happened for my friend's forum but he only shut it down after about a month, as there were no new members coming to the forum and he decided it would be better to just start over. I tried to convince him to keep it going or let me admin the board but he did not want to pay for the hosting any more on a site he was not interested in.
