What's your favorite forum software?

I've used SMF forum software for well over a year. Initially, that was the only choice I had, so I used it for my forum. But over time, the SMF forum software has grown on me, so that now, it's the only free forum software I want to use. However, if budget allowed, I would upgrade to Xenforo (or start a new forum with it). I've had a few times to work with Xenforo (behind the scenes) and it's a superior forum software.

Xenforo is an impressive looking forum software and a breeze to use, with lots of customization options. Having worked on several Xenforo sites, it's the only paid software I would use.

I like the look of the MyBB forums, especially the themes available. Not sure if that's the best forum software to use, but it's good enough if you don't have money for Xenforo.

Xenforo is a really amazing software and so much fun to run as an admin. The price is very comparable to any other paid software and very much worth the investment.

I don't have a preference for any forum software as a site owner. But, as a site user, Xenforo provides the best experience.
